"we" may actually refer too her and /the children/ since there is no proof of him having children around with his new wife. now. before you guys get upset about why he'd do that or anything, i would like to point out. this is actually a plausible theory since the reason he would leave the kids with her and seemingly not take responsibility would most likely be as follows. since his current wife is incapable of having children he may have kept them away as a means to protect her feelings or such. however that then begs the question, why? since they only found out much later in their relationship that she was infertile, that gives he ample time to have told her about the kids without any possible problems. so. why didn't he? now my theory on this is that he may have left the kids with her since he wanted to move on in his life and start a new family. the two girls being direct sisters could also explain a detail i picked up on which is that Andy's hair color looks like Jill's and Riley's hair literally looks the same as Jennifer's this would make a lot of sense i think since this is actually a normal occurrence with siblings. however this then brings up a question you missed why would emma's daughter have a picture her stepmother but not of her mother? and why only the one daughter???

I think "The Blue Boy Ice Cream" painting is a play on the "The Blue Boy" and "Pink Lady," popular prints from the 1920s to 1950s-my grandma had them hanging up. The artists probably tied the art to Coraline's house's time period and used the happy and sad versions to emphasize the Beldam's influence. The Beldam seems like a spider witch who wants the kids' physical life years (aka blood) to enhance her own, while their souls remain trapped (souls = life force) hence she needs another kid every 50 years. Plus, The Theorizer's reincarnation grandpa-son-demon-hole-cat theories are way off the map. I believe the cat's neutral yet magical nature in Coraline is simply inspired by the cat in Alice in Wonderland. Why? The cat says: "She hates cats, and tries to keep me out. But she can't, of course. I come and go as I please." And also: "It's a game we play. She huffs and she puffs, and then she blows the house down." I think the cat is just a portal-hopping thorn in her side and enjoys ticking her off. However, I totally agree with The Theorizer that Wyborn's grandma was an evil opportunist who sacrificed Coraline to save her grandson. She knows that the Beldam only required one child as her life was spared after her sister was taken.

I pesonally think hattie wanted kids for child labour like miss hannigan in annie and because she works at orphanage she can make it look like the kids are being adopted but in fact she sells the ones that werent cute or smart enough to sell cookies to maybe spanish ring and that why shes so angry about the girls not making enough money cause she lives a very luxury life when she goes home but is in tonnes of debt

Remember how Coralines real mom said to go visit those actresses? And how Coraline said “Miss Spink and Forcible? You said they were dingbats”… Ding bats, “bats” and how whenever Coraline was trying to get one of the eyes down in the basement and all the dogs turned into bats ? (Idk just my idea lol)

10:04 In this scene when she's at the store with her mom, there is a red headed woman outside watching Coraline and her mother through the window. I'm not sure if she could be a "spy" for the beldom or not since she doesn't have button eyes. But I do know, everything in the movie is intentional

May I just said-bc I feel like a lot of people didn’t catch this-Wybie mentions how surprised he is that his grandmother let coraline move in considering she doesn’t rent out to anyone with kids. I rewatched Coraline and realized that the Jones’ must’ve toured the home, the Beldam somehow noticed Coraline and began to prepare a doll. The grandmother found the doll on the property and only allowed the Jones family to move in after confiscating the doll believing coraline wouldn’t be harmed. Wybie, not knowing the full story of his Great Aunt’s disappearance, finds the doll in his grandmothers trunk (as he states in the message to Coraline) and gives it to her. He comes back in search of the doll stating his grandma was “real mad” that he gave coraline the doll because she knew she’d be in danger so basically Mrs. Lovat wasn’t using Coraline as bait to protect Wybie. Just sayin.

I don't know why Caroline fans are unwilling to think dark like the Beldam having a kid but not loving him or the guy luring another child to the house 🏠 to protect 🛡️ his own. You'd think horror movie fans would be more willing to think that way. 😅

Question, how can the mango be completed Mort if a piece of Mort is in the episode? I’d understand if Mort just didn’t show up for an unexplained reason, thus the only version of Mort being Mort in his whole form. Are you saying that if the majority of Mort is whole than one mort doesn’t make that much of a difference? Or is there something I’m missing?

At 31:54, There was a paper shown inthe video that had the name "Miss Jane NESBITT". If anyone recalls, in Toy story, Buzz lightyear went insane and mentioned the name NESBITT. He had experience with the monsters for he, knew them in soul form. SOUL FORM. Of course, this is all a hypothosis, but may you take this hypothosis and theorise on it. I'm on to something.

I thought that Coraline was allowed to move in because the Grandma wanted to protect Wybie, (since she knew that her sister was taken by the beldam) and Coraline was just a replacement/sacrifice.
