Clearly you've never used an EQ before. Also, if you want to demo an eq try using music that actually has mid range frequencies not just muddy highs and lows.

Grausam.

Nice! Sometimes I think I'm the only one that owns these modules. It's a shame Roland gave up on them so early/easily. They sound great and are tons of fun. Way ahead of their time imo.
@LESINDES21 күн бұрын
Thank you for sharing your opinion about the Torcido modular system. I totally agree. Roland did not do the last step in this concept however it could be even much more powerful and successful if you were able to connect several pedals to stack the DSP power for building much bigger modular systems.

This is definitely instructive, and not exactly what I would have expected from just the real-time Digitakt display which seemed to vary sort of randomly. I have an Usamo so I'm a bit disappointed to see its behavior here, although it's not so bad I guess.
@LESINDESАй бұрын
Thank you very much for your feedback! The Digitakt display is IMHO showing quite well when and what something's going wrong in terms of clock deviation. The USAMO is performing fairly well. But I was surprised very much about the M1 MIDI behaviour! I had a long debate with the Andrew the Expert Sleeper in person. Fairly fruitless unfortunately. Confirming my opinion once again that many of the tech guys ignore everything that's out of their frame. Because he was saying that USB MIDI and interface MIDI are the same. Which actually might be the case -- BUT why then Digitakt obviously processes M1 USB MIDI signal different from the MIDI signal from the same computer but via RME interface? As one is exactly reproducing the internal groove o the machine and the other is leading to exact 16th values. So for us musicians not only the emission of events is important but the reception is at least of the same relevance.

The body is well built, but the quality is bad. known power button issue. Used it twice, now wont power on. Total waste of $600. They shoulda spent less on the case and fancy mic head, and more on the ON button. Zoom dont care, no product recall, no free repair, no replacement, just silence. they just want your money, their hoping you just buy the latest model that theyll give you 10% off on. Sickening.
@LESINDESАй бұрын
I’m sorry for your issues.I’ve been owing 2 of these and they have been working flawlessly. But on the other hand: the zoom support is, practically, non-existent. We had big problems with the Zoom live-trak L8 which has some built-in bugs which could easily be fixed if Zoom only touched the firmware. L8 does not function with rechargeable NiMh batteries although it should as the lower threshold which is normally customisable by a software switch does not work - so you put in freshly charged batteries and since they never reach 1.5 V they are considered discharged and the unit quits operation immediately!

Sounds amazing. I've listened to a bunch of your ModFM videos. Is it me or does the sound continually ping-pong left-to-right? Is there a way of controlling that. Other than that and what appear to be limited options with the envelopes (no exponential, no looping) this synth is gorgeous.
@LESINDES2 ай бұрын
I‘ll have a closer look to that, but I don’t think so, but I think the voices are panned either to the left or right channel depending on being odd or even.
@polutropos2 ай бұрын
@@LESINDES Yes I read the manual after that post. Appears that voices are hard panned to either L or R giving the impression of ping-pong. This is one of the most characterful FM synths in a very long time but no doubt this is a peculiar design decision. If I sent Odd & Even sums to separate mono inputs on a mixer I assume I'd have control over this effect. I think that's my issue - it sounds like an effect! Or maybe I wait for the desktop model? Anyway, thank you for all these ModFM videos. I've found them super helpful and enjoyable. I hope you find time & motivation to do more!
@LESINDES2 ай бұрын
@@polutropos Thank you, I am glad the videos helped you to tame the beast! Yes, it is a design decision because a panning option for each voice would require a stereo VCA (= 2VCAs) for each voice, and that would increase the costs and also the price of. And Jomox found that a ping pong FX is mor valuable that a simple mono sum ;-)

Haven't tried it lately but I'm sure when I plugged in dead lead it stopped the modulation.... I will try again later... I was also thinking it would be quite easy to put in a switch so you don't have to plug in a blank plug.... Then I got to thinking if I put in a potentiometer instead of a switch I could control the amount of modulation from 0 to full.... I will first try the blank plug and get back with my result
