Hi Aaryn, great video I loved hearing your perspective on the changes to this handbag line especially because you have a few of the original loulou bags in your collection! You made a really good point about the update to the corners of the bag, I have the small puffer and you are right I am very cautious about how delicate the bag is and I’m always mindful about how I set the bag down. Also thank you so much for the shoutout, I’m glad you enjoyed my video as well. I love finding other handbag content creators, new subbie here 🤗 Also, after I filmed my video I had to go check the bag out in store, I did find that though the bag has the suede lining it is still a fairly light bag. I don't understand why they had to completely get rid of the old loulous which are a different shape to the new east-west loulous. I wish they had listened to customer feedback and just get rid of the inner dividing compartment that most of us hate in the old loulous. I have the toy loulou but don't use it much bcos it doesn't fit much. I bought the small loulou and hated how limiting that inner compartment was and also it was a little too bulky on me so I returned it. I think they got too greedy and increased prices a crazy amount without adding something fresh. That turned people off and they turned their attention elsewhere. They couldve run with their popularity at the time and produced the bag in fun colours like sakura pinks, baby blues, bright pinks/fuchsia, turquoise or Tiffany blues. Now it might be too little too late. I would have to try the new versions on to see if I like it or not, but the pictures of them aren't getting me excited.

I was in Paris about a month ago looking at the loulou and the SA at YSL told me in hushed tones that it was going to be discontinued. It made me want it even more! I love my “old” loulou!

I wonder if I’d be more inclined to enjoy the medium in a different color OR if I should try to find a small blanc vintage one in the old style before they disappear 🤔 . I much prefer the older style but has held back due to the inner compartments. The new bag doesn't look anything special at all. In fact I am considering a similar design from Tory Burch Kira Diamond Quilt Convertible Shoulder bag 😊

Great video Aaryn !! I love the old version , I have the Small in all Black with the black hardware , I don’t like the new changes at all , I don’t know why they changed this classic bag. I do want a Puffer version , I LOVE the color of yours so gorgeous !

TFS this information- I agree with you about the east/west design on the new one. I prefer the squared shaped one. I have the same small Lou Lou in the same color. I’ve been hunting for a black small Lou Lou, maybe I can find it on discount- I am not paying full price-too pricey. I also bought my beige Lou Lou new, several years ago.

Gucci Marmont is the prettiest design of all the designs in the luxury market. This is coming from a professional designers opinion.

The new version looks like a Tory Burch bag. Very ordinary looking.

I dont like the newer style!!! They should have kept it the same..it’s a classic style/look. YSL missed the mark with this one.

I can't decide which version I like. I think the older version as a whole looks classier and better made. I agree with you about the corners though

The YSL medium Lou Lou is my favorite flap bag in my collection. I don’t think I will like the new one, but I would have to see it in person.

I’m GLAD they’ve revamped this style, it’s about time. Ive had a few Toy LL bags and like the newer styles better especially without that center divider.

You have such a nice YSL collection. I like the east/west style but I think the older version of these bags is better.

I was in Paris last week and I came across the new Loulou small in the Natural Tan color. Hubby loved it too so we made an impulse decision and bought it in the spot. No regrets I absolutely love it- it is such a classy and beautiful bag and the color is perfection. I usually do SO much research before I buy a bag - and until last night I couldn’t find any info on you tube. It’s my first Loulou- I’ve admired the older style but I don’t have one so I can’t really compare and the old styles were completely gone from the store. I’m a little nervous about the lambskin- I’ve never had one - but I have plenty of bags so it won’t be heavily used. Thank you for the info!

I prefer the old versions. I’m just not impressed with the new versions at all. Seems they downgraded and downsized them.

The new version is weird looking. The older one is better. I wonder if they did that because its smaller and that means there is less surface area. That means less money being spent for more material. They shrunk it to save money.

I’m not a fan Aaryn. I just prefer the way the old one looks, although I prefer east west bags, I do like the old loulou. But I did sell mine because the strap was just a bit too long crossbody and also I had to really pull the flap down to match up the snap to close it. Now I loved the leather and the look but I just didn’t pick it up much. I do have the toy loulou in black on black. So cute!

I can't believe that the Loulou as I know it is gone...😢. What do you think of the revamp?
