@@dtrain1634 yeah civics have become one of the most popular hot hatches to race in the UK & with most Honda race series tending to have quite a few accidents that's only going to take more off the market sadly.

We hear Steve Barnard has made false claims that his yellow Ford Escort is the ex Geoff Wood LT40 Hart Escort Tricentrol Super Saloon, totally false, as the real Ex Geoff Wood Hart Escort is sitting in an F1 workshop going through a full re-commissioning after being found in Andrew Grover's barn where he had it stored since he won his last race in 1979. It was found by it's present owners in 2017 and was authenticated by Cyril Malem CTG F1 Racing who built it for Geoff Wood in 1973 with his partner Len Terry, the F1 Lotus desighner supremo. So Steve Barnard, before you be charged with deception, delete your false editorial comments, and just tell the truth. Your Escort is the ex Jim Evans Escort race car, that he raced with a 2.0 ltr Pinto engine, with a turbo.

It has come to light that the Steve Barnards yellow Ford Escort Super Saloon is not the ex Geoff Wood LT40 Hart Escort Super Saloon, that he has been telling everyone, why did he say this, beggars belief. Steve Barnard's yellow Escort is an old racing Escort of Jim Evans who had a Ford Pinto Turbo charged engine in it, and Steve Barnard bought it off Ebay. The rare Ex Geoff Wood Escort Tricentrol Super Saloon, which had been found in a barn after forty years in 2017 is now being fully re-commissioned by a well known race car workshop, back to how it appeared on the grid of the Tricentrol Super Saloon, painted in it's original Tahiti Blue.

this car was driven by nick may in the 1988 btcc it was in the same class as the sierra cosworths but had half the horse power so want a very competitive car but sounded nice

@@nathanshore2481 yeah the btcc in the late 80s was dominated by sierras in the top class so it's cool to see some people restoring these lesser know Cars from the past, this Maserati certainly sounded good going round Brands, hoping the owner might want to use it more after doing this.

Sadly the Bell Sport Challenge only had one event this year which was this meeting at brands hatch but with the gird having grown a bit hopefully it can have a full race calendar again next year.

The civic that was at the front also set the lap record for thunder saloons at this event, he has a youtube channel HCR_Works with more footage from this race.

It's doesn't surprise me that it broke the lap record for thunders, that Civic is rapid and the driver certainly knows how to handle it, it's very impressive to watch.

Yeah its certainly cool seeing a Nagari race in the UK, the driver managed to get into 1st in the second race before sadly having a spin and doing a small amount of damage to the nose of the car, hopefully it'll be back out again soon.
