Totally not recommended. JB Weld is pretty close to permanent when you put that on. Don’t ever expect to replace the butt cap without grinding it out.

The problem with these added dyes is that affect that how the string feel and plays. Blue for example, is noticeably softer than Alu Power Silver. Not a good move IMO.
@28mcavanaughАй бұрын
Perfectly said! Restring, Toroline and Diadem taking over. Solinco falling behind… Luxilon falling way behind subpar strings IMO for premium prices.
@mainscrossesАй бұрын
What are these brands up to? They’re getting hot players, blowing up on social media, and riding the hype wave. But the thing is, people don’t care about how the string plays anymore-they want something they vibe with. It's all about that brand identity! But here’s the catch-brands like Wilson, Solinco, and Luxilon? They’ve got the right concept to keep things fresh, but they’re stuck playing catch-up. By the time they jump on a trend, it’s already old news. Why wait until it’s too late? They need to tap into the people who know what’s really going on-the kids! Solinco used to thrive on that, but now they’re leaning corporate and playing it safe, following the OG tennis playbook. Come on, Solinco, don’t sell out yet! I love them, but something’s shifting, and it’s not clear if they’re heading towards the future or falling behind.

Congrats on your new machine! One question about this machine: does it come with the auto brake function? or you need to lock/unlock it from the bottom button (like showed in your video 11:53).

this is awesome, you make a great point. With stringing you need to get creative and create value for others. Sometimes people are hung up on beating competition down by low prices, but people want value and convenience.
@mainscrosses2 ай бұрын
You’d be surprised at how much people value convenience. Sure, they could get off the couch and drive to Taco Bell at 10 PM, but they're tired and prefer the easy route. Instead, they’d rather pay an extra $10 to order Uber Eats or Grubhub. It’s not just about the food-it's about saving time. We're giving them that time back. Honestly, that's going to be our new slogan... Mains & X: "We Serve You Time Back, On and Off the Court"

Similar strategy to what Babolat did years ago to introduce the Pure Drive to the North American market. They gave away packs of VS Gut to juniors to convince them to try their racquet, and the rest is history.

Actually to clean the clamps. Those are plastic tips so not too abrasive. If you work with natural gut or just too much build can cause string slippage

Hello, I recently bought solinco tour bite 20g which is thinnest version but I haven't strunged it on my racket yet.I'm confused about its ideal tension.I want playing long time with it so i want it withstand to my powerful serves without breaking.many people say that tour bite 20g does a very good job at 40 pounds.do you think 25-30 pounds would be too low for it.your opinion is important for me😇
@mainscrosses3 ай бұрын
Well, I’m glad you asked but honestly Stringing tension are so subjective what might play well for me might be different for you. Now I would suggest you getting a couple packs and trying it out. Try out with one as high one with the medium and one low see which one is the right fit and adjust accordingly I don’t believe that Trying out one time justify the play test I would give different options a chance

I've used the Babolat and Wilson leather grips and they're both awful! So hard and not cushy at all. They hurt my wrist and hand in general because I have to grip it harder than normal. But the TW leather grip is amazing; it feels a lot more plush and comfortable. You can actually put an overgrip on it and not have to grip any harder than usual with a synthetic grip.
