I love changing threads that way. I do that all the time on my serger. Tried it on my 780 and ope! Ended up with the takeup lever tension spring bouncing out of place. :/ Luckily I figured out how to fix it, but I won't do that again.

I loved this episode and the stitching tutorial! I have two santa panels and it's time to quit procrastinating and tackle them. Now, to get the SF... whatever for after I'm done! One quick question: Do you wait and cut the panel to size AFTER stitching?

I like your technique for the berries. I usually use a satin stitch, but now will use your stitch.

Thank you, Lisa, for taking the time today to show us how to stem stitch the panel. I have never done anything like that before and wasn’t sure how to do it. I have done cross stitch for years, but I still haven’t tried wool with embroidery. I have a couple of small kits though and now I think I need to give them a try. You are such an amazing teacher. Maybe one day I will be able to make my way from Louisiana up to Primitive Gatherings. ❤

It’s nice to have those FQs a smidge larger. While doing my July mini the FQ I chose from my stash was another Moda designer but was cut exactly 18”. I bet she cut it herself. But if I had let my ruler slip a thread or two off i would have been unhappy😢

I am watching the show in the afternoon. The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show (Madison) .... this is the 20th year. I did see Barb's video with the B 08, she did very well, I don't own the machine, but found it interesting and easy to follow. I do have an L890 and I will look for her videos.
