Cant wait to make this, so cute. Still waiting for the bear pattern to arrive. Where did you get the dried lavender . Thank you for sharing.
@GlowsCrafts7 ай бұрын
You’re welcome 🙂 you can buy small packets of dried lavender from Tiger/Flying Tiger shops and also some health food shops. For online I recommend House of Alistair lavender which comes in 100g or 250g bags which is very good quality . houseofalistair.com/collections/lavender

Thank you, thank you!!! It is so difficult to find information and tutorials on the LK100. I am so excited to try this. If you have any more tips or tricks with this machine I look forward to learning more from you! If you could show from your comment below about holding the lever to knit in hold position I would love to see that in action. Not having that lever on the carriage has prevented me from pursing so many exciting patterns.

Thank you for making this video, I am cleaning my Mum's old Jones 585 knitting machine. I still need to clean the carriages, so I am watching this to find out what to do.

Love this! What would you then do with the transfers on the napkin, what would you transfer it onto?
@GlowsCrafts Жыл бұрын
Thank you 😊 Split up the designs 1st by gently taring the tissue paper leaving a small area of white tissue around them rather than cutting out with scissors. This creates an almost invisible softened edge after using the decoupage method of application. The transfers can then be glued to your chosen item using PVA or Mod Podge. Apply to a canvas, an art journal, a wooden, glass or metal item or even a decorative candle. Once the glue is dry you can then colour in your design using acrylic paint or permanent markers.

Hello, I have a Singer LK100, is that the same type of LK100 you are referring too? There are some many videos for machines the LK150 which has the hold feature. I don't want to rush out and buy a new machine but there's very little help without one.
@GlowsCrafts2 жыл бұрын
Hi, yes the Singer LK100 is the same as the Knitmaster LK100. The manufacturer names can change depending on the country the machine was originally sold in. Silver also bought the Knitmaster business years ago. The names can be confusing at times! To use the hold feature on the LK100 you just need to hold the lever forward as you knit for the direction you are knitting in. Most of the basic machine knitting techniques like shaping etc. are all applicable to even the most basic knitting machine. I have knitting machines from the 80/90’s and I wouldn’t part with them. As long as they kept in good condition and oiled they will last a lifetime.

Bonjour.

Bon tricot.

I used a thin bendable sheet of card. I recommend using card between 180-200gsm. Usé una hoja de cartón delgada y flexible. Recomiendo usar cartulina entre 180-200gsm.

for the deco 40 stitch cards, can I use a blank 40 stitch punchcard and let the Brother do the punch design?

Which scan and cut are you using?
@GlowsCrafts3 жыл бұрын
I am using a CM800 (quilters addition) which has wi-fi but as far as I am aware you should be able to use the SVG files created on any Scan and cut model.

Thank you so much. I see that there is an option for 18 stitch punch card for the MK70/HK160. The new machines only came with 5 cards and often the punch cards are missing when the machines are sold later . Blank cards for the machines are also very hard to find

is this a 9mm or 6.5 mm, the lk100 is 9mm but the lk150 is 6.5mm, thank you for the video, hugs!
@GlowsCrafts3 жыл бұрын
Hi I am using the original Knitmaster Zippy 90 which is a LK100 with only 90 needles so it’s a 9mm. Silver bought the brand Knitmaster so the LK150 is a very similar knitting machine. Your welcome 😀 hugs.

Just a tip for next time, get a jam jar and pour a bottle of surgical spirit (you can get it from Boots) along with a few drops of knitting machine or sewing machine oil in the jar. Put all your needles in hook down. Give the jar a good shake, let it soak, give it shake, repeat this for 20 minutes or so. Take the needles out and lay them to dry on a piece of kitchen roll. As the spirit drys, which is pretty quick, the oil droplets will be left behind, leave that on there and then put the needles back in, this will lubricate the needles rubbing inside the machine and help it knit smoother and reduce any squeaking. Hope this helps, your demo was marvellous. 🙂

Sorry for the late reply! Thank you for sharing this information as I am sure others will find this info helpfull. At the time I didn't have any surgical spirit unfortunately. Thank you, I have had a few years experience as a craft teacher so hoping this will help as I start to make more videos with my knitting machines.
