You ought to consider not positioning yourself in front of the subject of your reaction. You block a good part of the action.

Great reaction! Awesome young band! Check out their song “Daughters Of Witches “ or their latest “VHS”! For a heavier side of them. They are improving by leaps and bounds!

I was at this show. While it was my first live Show with the sisters… it did not come close to the free show I saw at Lake Morey in VT. That was truly exceptional. Rebecca and I are both Aquarius and often communicate with a strange level of understanding without need for supporting info. The new drummer (Ben) has really caught up. I will forever catch the sisters anytime I can. Grammy award winning sisters of contemporary blues. I called it a full year before they won it

Good Times Bad Times is my favorite because of her bass triplets. 8 years old . Unreal. I started playing hair guitar in 1985 when I was 15. I've been around killer drummers. None have ever blown me away like she does. When I started playing, I couldn't wait to be able to play a Dokken or Ozzy/Jake E Lee solo. I couldn't imagine being 4 or 5 years in and there not be a song I couldn't play.

Scott you're a great ambassador for Leonid & Friends as well as Chicago. If your still doing reactions, PLEASE do more Leonid & Friends. They have some great EW & F songs and several oldies featuring Ksenia. Thx

Jan Akkerman - the guitar player - was at the time considered on of the finest guitar-men in the world. The keyboard player/Flutist/vocalist is Thijs van Leer, still a valued member of the prog rock scene. Focus was a bit of a niche band, more album oriented. Having a big international hit was a bit of a fluke. In this performance they were only offered a 4-5 minute slot for an 8 minute song, so in stead of cutting parts, they simply doubled the speed.

it's easier to learn stuff when you are younger, there is nothing magical to it. the longer you wait to learn an instrument, the less likely it is you will be very good. Before everyone chimes in with an example of older people doing it, I didn't say YOU CAN"T learn, I said it's less likely. Not impossible.

she angers me as well.... but not in a bad way. Ilove just awtching her play. I never seen zepplin so I cant relate to bonham. I wacthed his son play at Pine Knob in Michgan a few years back, but her ease and ability is so expressive that its hard not to be enthralled. Ellen Plays bass is the same way for me as well. you might want to do a review of soemthing she has done solo at 11 years old ...kzbin.info/www/bejne/onXVnICErJuKqJIsi=fisgQhTxCzivvege

Not many notice the way she throws in the triplle shuffles. she lands them all throughout the performance...not sure they are in the original or not, but she does it on all her videos. and her double floor bass drum work is legendary even at 8 years old!
@KimMoonbmwmoonieАй бұрын
oh, and she sounds AWESOME live! 😁😁😁 you can tell that the band was driven to putting on a A list performance because she was there. especially the bass player... which is probably the one you need as an ally when you are the drummer. LOL

When I joined the army in 1973 i was staationed in Augusta Ga in 1974 and they also had a Whisky a gogo and as young recruits we would go there on the weekends and hang.... it was more like Austin Powers with GOGO dancers than the one in LA... but hey. 😁

Btw, I believe the first video she released where she needed to work with the Purdie Shuffle is Toto's "Rosanna" which I believe featured Purdie himself on drums. She does a beautiful job, but for a non-drummer like myself, it seems like its the only one of her cover videos where she had to work hard to get it right - she was challenged in a way she doesn't seem to be in her other covers. Then she gets to this Steely Dan classic maybe 2 years later (?), and the challenge is behind her and she looks like she can play it in her sleep.

I religiously followed her cover videos beginning when she was 8 years old. She was covering the music I grew up with and still love, but the hook was her extreme youth playing like a fully trained and experienced adult professional. The sense of wonderment and enchantment that you experience hosting these videos. When she and her family moved to Los Angeles 2 years ago, everything changed. Now at age 15, she's posting a tremendous amount of content where she is playing with bands and collaberating with great musicians, and she promotes child prodigies much younger than she now is. But mainly, she's creating and playing new music across genres with accomplished professionals in all kinds of venues - she's reaching for the professional credibility that must involve the creation of original music. She is overall a genius and it simply isn't possible to view her as a child anymore. Listening to her new stuff is the exercise of listening to music you've never heard and breaking it down in you head and your heart as you would any new music that one of your favorite musicians or bands drops. She is simply a professional, and if you live or visit Los Angeles you get regular opportunities to hear her play live in intimate venues with other excellent musicians -- and the family band with her parents and brother is a stronger working unit than ever before.
