I don't see a steering damper on your bike. A quality steering damper will make your offroad life much, much easier. Your KX will handle much better and you will use much less energy when you ride. If you have optional couplers or an adjustable map switch make sure you have it on the softest power delivery. You might also consider removing a couple teeth from the rear sprocket to spread out the power from the 450 even more so it is easier to manage in the woods and in mud and roots. I'm 58 and ride whenever I can, racing woods and hare scrambles. Remember to never crash. It's better to go slow than fall down.

What size connector valve loosens the Johnson rod? I’ve been using a 10mm and can’t get it loose.. Thanks

If your Johnson rod is that loose you have problems sir I suggest removing the spindle cap to check Johnson rod play

You skipped filming the most important part???? The install wtf

Actually I did film installation of the flywheel weight and how it should go on. If your referring to the actual flywheel itself it goes on the same way it comes off you being an X mechanic should be able to figure that out

it's really flat there so no Burm to run in and there was a hump just before the turn so when I tried to shift my weight it just wanted to go straight.
Id say carnage.... That one dude in the first 10 sec come into the frame front wheel already washed outgiing down on a straight section....

You change the jets in the carb to change the air fuel ratio for a lean/rich condition when you change the exhaust or open the air box up you will need to Rejet

I'm hoping for a dry, but not too dusty, race. So you won't need the fan. I like a bib on the rear - but not the front.@@MIDDLECLASSMX

i had a maverick sport 1000R a 2020, i now have a 2023 z950 HO EX and i can honestly say i like my cf moto more. the maverick did make more power for sure but the cf makes more than enough and the price couldn't be beat. i was looking at going to an X3 for a trailing arm setup and i got this z950 HO EX for 10k less than a base model x3 where i live

For all the mods and money you need to put in why not just get a CRF450rl much better bike overall, more power more torque, comes with more accessories already on it, looks cooler and fuel injected!

Nice review. I have the same 2022 model DRZ. I have the Mad dog seat cushion too, lol. I bought the Tusk hand guards and boy am I glad I did. I had not wiped out for 9 months, and this last weekend, I rode too far into Nellis Sand Dunes near Vegas and fell 3 times trying to get out of there. I didn't upgrade the tires yet - up until then, I thought the stock tires were ok. My bad! Lesson learned. But I love my DRZ. Feels very heavy compared to MX bikes I'm used to though.

@@gamepassgamer3755 Yes, you're right style is completely subjective. I should have added the words "in my opinion". But I know several people with CF Motos and so far, every single one of them have turned out to be junk.

@johnnyg1132 Жыл бұрын
@@gamepassgamer3755 Agree to disagree. These are offroad machines designed to be driven hard. I have a friend who had a ZForce and blew the motor with less than 1000 miles on it in addition to constant electrical problems. He sold it and bought an original style Commander and he hammers that and it takes it and keeps on running. Another friend with a Zforce sold it after a year and bought a Can Am because he was tired of his friends towing him out of the woods for electrical problems. I have a third friend who had a ZForce 1000 limited that blows fuses and burns a quart of oil every 150 miles. They're junk, they don't hold up.

Hi I was debating between a drz400, dr650, and xr650. I like how the drz400 is lighter compared to the two 650s. On the other hand the 650s would handle higher speeds better. But if I get a 650 especially the dr Im a bit concerned on the dirt. It seems not that great on the dirt and the xr is so tall.
@MIDDLECLASSMX Жыл бұрын
The xr650 and dr650 are a bit bulkier bikes than the 400. They are also air cold engines as well. I know every 650 I rode felt bigger than the 400 and I know suspension wise the 400 felt softer and more nimble. But that being said power wise 650 has way more bottom end that you can really feel they pull a lot better than the 400 too. Hope this helps it all come down to the type of riding you want to do
@JeremyDovin Жыл бұрын
See I would appreciate a bike thats bot bulky. Its kind of nice to make quicker turns. I want to ride the bike more on the road then off. The offroad capability of the bike matters to me but I need a bike fast enough for the highway. I want to go 55-70mph for most of my riding. Occasionally go over 70mph and go 80-85mph for fun but in general stay around that 55-70 range on back roads.
@Jesus_Christ_is_alive Жыл бұрын
The 400 is a better off road bike, the dr650 is a better dual purpose, the xr650 is only for 6ft people and above but it’s basically a huge street legal dirtbike, i went with the xr650l but I love all three and they each can keep up with one another regardless of terrain, my buddys have the 400 and dr650 and we all ride together just fine.
