I love this album. Then I payed close attention to #6 and melted in tears, resonating with dad's love for his daughter. Beautiful.

Please people, do you have recommandations that make your soul travel to paradise as much as Kokoroko? I already listen to Ezra collective, but it's not the same vibe. Closest I found is Badbadnotgood, which I really enjoy, but the musicality of Kokoroko just hits different. It's legit my favourite collective in this entire world rn, no music has ever spoken to me as much.

Great version by Daymé Arocena of “El 4-5-6”, song created by the Brito brothers: Alfredo Brito (composer, arranger, orchestrator and singer) and Julio Brito (composer and singer), founders together with Mercy Díaz (singer) and Abelardo Cordero (singer) of the quartet “Los Brito”. The Cuban quartet “Los Brito” was active from 1967 to 1981, being one of the most recognized and loved groups in Cuba, harvesting countless hits for almost two decades. I leave here the link to the original song of “Los Brito”, for those who want to know it or remember it. A hug to all: Alvan Brito (son of Alfredo and Mercy, nephew of Julio). The composer and lead guitar player here isn't a member of the band. Next, i believe that they are primarily a brass band, this might be one of their few songs composed on guitar. Also i'd say a lot of their music is experimental/fusion, they hardly stick to any one format/formula/genre. This is essentially modern African guitar Jazz fusion. Many artists experimenting with similar sounds. A relatable song you might enjoy is: Khruangbin and Vieux Farka Touré - Diarabi
