I had a P.l 20 Carrara. It didn't come with the redline flight cranks still bothers me. Stupid bike shop back then probably would take em off & sell them separate.

*Great bike for an engineer who likes to manage his bike!✑>**share4.photo/RedlineBike?N40 ** The front wheel is slightly damaged during transportation. But overall, the quality is great for this price.*

I grew up when freestyle exploded. I was 13 in 1985. I was obsessed with bmx. Mike buff, rl Osborn, Bob haro all pioneers of freestyle. I remember when these came out. memories ole memories. thank u for posting!

Richard Fuller Me too. It was such an awesome era for Bmx. I remember drooling over every issue of Freestylin' magazine. I had a red RL 20 11. Such a rad bike!

My 1st Redline was stolen a year after I got it, my 2nd Redline was stolen the second day I had it. 30 years later I still get pissed off about it.

Dude, I so remember those tech 5 locking levers with the button you pushed down. I'm trying to remember what we used them for, I think when learning the Cherry Picker.

Oh, what I wouldn't give to have my RL 20II back. I owned two of these in the mid 80's and loved them. The first one was stolen and the second... it just disappeared over the years, loaned it to someone probably and never saw it again. (kicking myself )

Nice! The Aqua, Radberry and School bus yellow were my favorites! 401 flights and Peregrine graphite and 48 spoked wheels were the the ultimate freestyler machines but they were almost 900 bux complete in '85 through '88. Amazing colection!

I have a redline rl 20 in my garage. Decent shape. no rust on frame. Are they worth anything to anybody?
@santoonie
@santoonie 16 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, I went threw tons of bikes, and always had problems with either the stem, the frame cracking, cranks cracking, wheels bearings busting, etc. I'm not saying that doesn't happen on RL's but, they never did with me. I believe the RL's were biult to withstand more, and the feather weight frame back then was unmatched. Tabletops were a breeze, however the RL20II was kinda of a bigger frame than most, 5inch headtube, but I was able to ride it comfortably after teen years.
@santoonie
@santoonie 16 жыл бұрын
The RL20-II is the only rare must have, in my opinion. It was must have in 1986, so do the math.

Nice video! I have a hazzard yellow RL-20 II project I've been working on; it's just missing flights and platforms. Had a original radberry back in '86, until it got stolen in '88! :(
