A center pivot is and always be more efficient and the closest thing to rain watering a crop flood irrigation waste the heck out of water

God this pisses me off. Seriously, in a country stricken by drought we have this shit. But I mean who cares about the environment, the fish and the farmers downstream actually trying to produce food, because we have COTTON. The most useful thing in the world.

A lot of positive reactions. I find this solution not very good. In Holland we have small pipes that deliver the exact amount of water to the roots of the plant. This is just flooding your field. A lot of water just drains into the underground. I guess in Australia water household is a a problem as well, just like in the netherlands (which has a very wet climate).
