@@Whymee24 Thank you so much 💕 okay SO we were terrified because it was like a horrible snow storm the day before but for us it cleared up so it was definitely colder up on the mountain but it was still sunny and nice. having said that I still was prepped and ready lol. I wore nude leggings under my dress, no heals I was wearing winter boots when up on the actual mountain and I brought a jacket for when we weren't taking photos

One thing Id like to note- Im being a bit cheeky with “for retirees” but its actually not the case at all! While the age range definitely skews in the 50+ range, its for any age. Plus despite our age difference everyone was LOVELY. And with a smaller boat than ocean cruises it wasnt hard to make friends. Id recommend it even if youre in your 20-30s!

@@anniegee4099 hmmm im not an expert. I think it depends- if you go out and explore the surrounding areas on your own you need to be vigilant because of the unforgiving nature (crocs heat etc). As for the actual city- most of the time I felt safe but tbh- I walked home alone from dinner one of the nights and it did feel a bit unsafe where I was- lots of drunk men were shouting things, being creepy etc. The restaurant I went to was on a street known for its wild bars though. Other than that experience I felt safe

This is my 10th year in Darwin and most of the locals have no desire to harm anyone. Most of our problems are around youth crime in the suburbs (that is Australia wide IME):and transients who come to Darwin specifically to drink and cause chaos. Compared to other nightlife precincts, Mitchell St is tame but you can definitely find trouble in Monsoons or Shags. Darwin is a garrison town, but the Aussies and Americans have been read the riot act by their bosses - it's not Townsville. The tourist season brings more drunks, but numbers have dropped off in the last few years.

The sun is completely normal in Australia, locals tell the tourists they need sunscreen because they normally go to the beach or the bush and you can get sunburned if u stay out side for too long

You know its funny, we only went to London for 2 days because we both have been so many times, so we thought we'd just use it as a place to get over Jet Lag- but I had so much fun being a tourist, Im dying to go back for longer
