Not sure if you’ll see this but I’ll hope for the best, Could you make videos on how to hook up: 1.Ps1 2.Sega Genesis 16-bit 3.Sega Dreamcast: Sports-edition Recently while clearing out my step dads garage to move in we came across him and his siblings old consoles (and we even think we might have a Nintendo 64 and NES System hidden away somewhere cause we found games, controllers, and cables) we’ve been able to bond over our love of vintage games and this video has helped us fix the PS1’s we found. I hope to clean all the consoles up and see if they still work soon and I thought you deserved a much larger audience and views on your videos so I just wanted to write my thanks to you down here for helping us out. The video was super helpful and simple to follow that we were able to fix them both in less than 15 minutes. Again just wanted to say thank you a bunch for the video and I hope you keep making them and helping more people enjoy vintage gaming for years to come.

it's gonna be probably a dumb question but what's the reason for removing the soldering ball in a new laser?

The solder is touching three different contacts which shorts the laser. Until you remove the solder and separate the contacts the laser will not operateZ

@videogameexpert412 ай бұрын
Let the soldering iron heat all the way before using. Use a wide tip if you have one. Don’t keep it on the pads for too long. Use more flux if you’re having a hard time getting it to melt. Make sure the battery is lined up with + and - You got this!

Hi, thanks taking the time to put this together. Nice job and presentation. I followed the steps but I didn't do something correctly. When I tried to test, and powered on, the lense didn't stop moving up on the control bar. It's like the bracket on the right of the lenses isn't connected properly to the control bar or the lenses doesn't detect when it's needs to move back. Not sure if you have experienced something like that before.
