Many of the homeless and people living in informal settlements in CT are not locals. The xenophobia in SA means that if the local government is tried to house the foreigners, there would be riots. Only locals qualify to get on the subsidised housing waiting list. CT is full of migrants from Zimbabwe, Malawi, Congo etc

What month of the year were you in Cape Town?

Cape Town is ass, after living in 3 Major Cities in South Africa for about 10 years in each city, cape town gets boring fast, people are shid, underseasoned food capital of the earth, and everyone is mean for no reason. Shid city 2/10. wouldnt recommend
@Paula-xi1lxАй бұрын
You are like the people who also don't like Rio de Janeiro. Always that one.😂 Even though Cape Town gets winter rain (like the Mediterranean), it still has less cold winter temperatures than Johannesburg. The people are only shid if you're shit or if you're in the wrong community. There are literally surfer houses of local and international people all over Cape Town with people from all walks of life having a blast. You just ended up in the wrong spot. Our spicy Cape Malay dishes are definitely not under seasoned. The North of the country has much less of a culinary culture when it comes to spice than Cape Town. Everybody knows that. For spice it's Durban first, then Cape Town. But, for general food, Cape Town is literally a foodie mecca. You had a bad experience with some people and now you sound bitter.🙂 Hate the circumstances, not the place.

Cape Town has a chilled vibe. We work hard. Then we chill hard.
Your 39th sub here.🎉 It is spectacular here, isn't it? That park lodge is almost a 5 star hotel, with all the facilities beside the restaurant and the view! You landed in Nelspruit, there, and another airport opened just now on the edge of the Kruger Park too. Nelspruit is truly quaint, as you said, but did that airplane make it direct to Cape Town or only to Johannesburg, for the connection?

As awesome as it gets, Cape Town & Stellenbosch: well worth the hype, eh, as only more, like Hermanus, you'll have to do next time!

Enjoying the vids Kat, Why so little subs, i’ll be lucky number 38 then ✅ be safe and have a leka time. Dont forget to check out Hermanus, and take the scenic route around bikini beach and bettys bay theres a penguins colony there too and baboons that cross the roads.. i call it mini chapmans drive.. next time.. also its free. Why hermanus? Its one of the best places to go whale watching you might be able to spot them on the way too. Also one of the cleanest towns/ small city in africa.. my opinion*

learn the true nature of what is happening under an ANC Government before you start to talk about apartheid and the history of the country. Don't believe everything you hear in American newspapers

i love what you said about the disparities caused by apartheid, i live in cape town, born and raised so i know but many would dispute it yet you can see it so easily, theres cape town and the townships, which people usually miss out on when they visit cape town.
@Whatsupwithkattt6 ай бұрын
Yeah I think it’s an obligation for anyone visiting to at least look at the country’s history and reflect! Such a beautiful country though, both its people and nature! Thank you for your comment 😊

But what do you want me to do about it??? I’m a white South African…I am struggling just to get through the month! Not a single person has done a damn thing for me…no one gives me anything! There is a disparity between townships and suburbs!!! Here’s a newsflash for you: THAT is a disparity ALL OVER THE WORLD!! Go and look at the homeless settlements in California…is that also the result of “apartheid!!?? Did PW Botha govern California??? I’m so damn sick and tired of people constantly throwing apartheid in our faces!!!
@daleenmare38923 күн бұрын
Every metropolis in the world has areas of severe poverty, are you blaming all of those on apartheid? Honest question.
