Here in México we never got at any store, just Amazon and they were barely available, I think that some didnt even were available at amazon at any point, fortunetly AEG stuff we get it regulary but of course, it's not the same, i think that also what mattel is doing really wrong with all Thomas range in general is that they only release engines and what i mean by this, is that a Lot people like My self is only going to get one of each engine and thats it, i mean i don't need more then one Thomas at least it got some variation like the face expresion or something like that, they need to release rolling stock in all this lines, so people can buy a lot more because theres people that going to want maybe 3 troublesome truck or 5 express coaches, maybe 8 passenger Cars

It’s such a shame that the range is being discontinued, especially when they had some great model like Percy.

The line was too expensive, too hard to find, and didn’t even represent the direction the brand was taking. On top of that, quality control was completely nonexistent and the new wheels are extremely prone to derailments. They should’ve just made $7 AEG characters and put them in normal stores. Wooden trains should be a slam dunk for Thomas, but Mattel simply cannot understand the basics of marketing them. Hopefully they come out with proper AEG wooden trains at a reasonable price point.

I got all of my 2022 engines at Walmart in Canada

I was happy when this franchise came back, but after seeing the new designs, my overall opinion changed instantly. I'm not upset in the slightest that it's been discontinued again seeing how it for one wasn't available in many stores outside of Barnes & Noble and that I happen to dislike the way the wheels are compared to the original. TBT, I honestly don't think it should come back as right now as a whole I've lost faith with much of the merch that's Thomas-related, outside of fan-made stuff, Bachmann, and anything from Japan that isn't AEG. Unless something does happen that changes my mind, I won't be anytime soon seeing how I don't collect much Thomas stuff these days and that I prefer real trains over fictional ones.

Luckily my local store still has a big stock of them in store and in the back lol so there’s plenty were I live lmao

I’m hoping that wooden railway isn’t discontinued forever. Wooden Railway is one of my favorite merchandise lines and they were the first line of Thomas merchandise I got.

I was lucky enough to have the new Thomas from the 2022 wooden railway range golden and Percy from this new 2022 range but I got my Percy in Japan Thomas and Gordon is a gift from one of my family members because they live in the US I asked him to buy it for me and then they gave it to me cuz they know where they can buy it so I was pretty lucky

This was unfortunately gonna happen because not only did Mattel not market the toys properly, but didn't release a wide variety of charatcers. In 2010, only 14 years ago, there was a wide variety of characters. Of course it sold well and continued to sell well for ages.

This was never sold in the UK where I live. But I never really cared for the newer TWR. I only really like the 1992 - 2000 TWR and mabey some 2000's things here and there.

I dont like the new wheels 😅 don’t fit with the old ones and I need to say they were kinda big like Edward and James were to big maybe they are more accurate but they just don’t fit with my collection so I am very happy and I couldn’t buy them in stores 😢 but I wouldn’t buy them so I’m not sad and I hope they bring back the old wheels and just make them fit with the old ones

Mattel shooting themselves in the foot as usual. It is always the visibility and advertising problem. You can't make money out of thin air if you don't expose your product and distribute it properly. No release in the Philippines; it's all just AEG Take n' Play here.

Ever since it came out, I hadn't seen them in stores anywhere in my state. I only barely saw a few for the first time at Macy's two days after I heard about the cancellation. (Picked up Rosie btw. Stellar model)

Weird. You release two waves of charecters, sets, and destinations, re-relesse the same items, and have them available in a select few stores, and it doesn't sell well. Mattel just doesn't care. They really don't. This is exactly what happened with the merchandise lines in the BWBA era. You can't make money when there are little to no products available in stores and the brands aren't exposed. If Mattel cared they would've tried harder than just Barnes and Nobel and Amazon as the main carriers. Yes Fred Myers or Walmart had a few items, but not enough to make an impact. TWR 2022 needed more characters, more variants of existing characters, more sets with new destinations that expanded the world of TWR. TWR 2022 lacks a reason to want to buy more because Matell doesn't care to make you want to.

Well here in New Zealand they only had Thomases no James is and they had the station set and the sheds and just random other train pack but for the single engine packs they only had Thomas rest was all engines go

I can't help but find it typical Mattel did not even try with marketing that new brand at all. They could've given that line TV adverts or advertising posters, but no, they chose to do little to fuck all on their end. If I can recall something, I remember Thomasfan261 saying that line has never been released in the UK, which is ironic since Thomas is from the UK. But Mattel being Mattel, I believe they just didn't try with marketing that line elsewhere besides the US, Japan, or wherever in the world Wooden Railway 2022 is sold.

I should be surprised but at the same time I’m not. It’s a shame that the line ended, and it looked very promising. I want to be proven wrong I really do but as of now wooden railway is most likely dead (for real this time)

What a shame that Mattel is discontinuing the 2022 Thomas Wooden Railway line I thought the 2022 TWR line was good and the only 2022 TWR items that I have are Nia and Annie. I got the 2022TWR Annie at a swap meet not to long ago, and I got the 2022:TWR Nia from a Toysrus at Macy's in the Fashion Show Mall not too long ago as well. I'm still planning to get more of the 2022 TWR items if I could find some at a swap meet or a Macy's Toysrus at the Fashion Show Mall someday.
