Guys there is a little more to that salute when being done before a combat match.

To be Honest, your form needs an overhaul, and you should not be teaching (you are doing your students no favours). A few years of diligent practice with this video as a guide will surely help you. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJfHdIaEYrN-bbc

What school did you learn this at?
@HonestTaiChi21 күн бұрын
I originally learned this form at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago in 2010. My teacher from the Cheng Man Ching lineage is Dr. Bernard (Tony) Zayner. My teacher in Kwan Ying Dao is Dave Cial and I started training with him in 2004

Where did you get all the videos of George, Al, Dave, etc?
@HonestTaiChi21 күн бұрын
I have a personal collection of DVDs that were given to me directly by Dave Cial... I also have a vast library of Kwan Ying Dao material, including notes from Master Ong's advanced classes ranging from 1969-1983 given to me in confidence by Ron Moore as well as a vast lybrary of VHS, and 8mm tapes of demonstrations and instructional videos that was given to me directly by Ron Moore ranging from 1982 till the early 2000s I stay in contact with them regularly and train with Dave Cial here in NC on most Mondays

@HonestTaiChi nice. I was a student with Dave. We were in the same class and got our green, brown, and black belts at the same time. Keep track of those videos, etc. Extremely valuable.

@@mkp3824 super cool! Dave's been like a father to me since the day we started training together. I was 17 and with all the attitude to boot.

Do you add a second mirror opposite the first so when students are facing the opposite direction, they can look into their mirror and watch everything as their backs are also turned away from you?
@HonestTaiChi18 күн бұрын
It would be a cool thing to add. I am currently teaching out of a parks and rec facility in Concord NC. I'll bring this up to the facility director. Thanks for the tip and idea. In my office I don't have/use mirrors although it is a good teaching tool for beginners.

Why does one step into horse stance?
@HonestTaiChi2 ай бұрын
Stepping into horse stance can be for a bump using the body and stance to disrupt a person's balance and to trip their feet depending on the angle of stepping

Too much distraction for Tai Chi practice or training. Have to nail down "Golden Cock Standing alone", pivoting smoothly and steadily on the right leg alone.
