Wow, fantastic interview one of the icons Jeffrey Daniels man you guys were driven to be famous and definitely. You will go down history as the originator of the moonwalk. Michael Jackson will never have been great if it was for you and you could take that to the bank😂, I’m grateful Don Cornelius, but Don got over You guys paying you with fried chicken and coleslaw knowing that it was you young guys who were the stars of the show you use your own wardrobe and your own creativity to make that show work💯🙁, God bless you. Folks don't know it by Tyrone was supposed to be in the group Shalamar. At the time Don Cornelius wanted to put together a groups of dancers from Soul Train who would go on to become a music group. Tyrone was stuck doing some projects in NYC so he couldn't make it back to LA. So Howard Hewitt who was not a Soul Train dancer was brought in to be the third member of the group that would go on to become known as Shalamar. Props to Jody, Jeffrey and Tyrone as well as Howard for being able to keep things going for so long. They could have just turned "old" and disappeared .... RIP Tyrone ... we all love you ...

I may have been Tyrone's favorite DJ. We spent tons of hours going over music and talking about what music meant to us back in the day and continues to be. He taught me alot about the waacking culture and soul train. He was so surprised that later in life perhaps around age 50 he was asked to start teaching dance all around the world. I was really surprised at the amount of travel that he ended up doing attending, teaching and judging dance events. I asked him if he ever planned on retiring from dance. His response was that as long as they wanted him and he could do it, he would continue to get out there and spread the knowledge! Thank you Princess for sharing this with us!

I took Waacking with her a long time ago and that skill lasted through all of my arm movements for dance… not just Waacking❤
