Great video as always. I did just recently quit my 9-5 just before Thanksgiving. I go back and forth sometimes on the decision but only momentarily before realizing there's no going back and everything I ever wanted lays before me, if I only have the courage to march towards it. Thanks for sharing and keeping me thinking.

@@askhanus honestly it was mostly boredom and having a hard time seeing myself doing that kind of work for the next 20 years. And this itch to try and do something completely asinine like starting a KZbin channel. It made no sense but I couldn't not try, so I put in my 2 weeks just before Thanksgiving and now I'm working on videos and growing a business full time. I'm going to give it about 12-18 months or if I run out of money, which ever occurs first hah.

Thanks for explaining the shit sandwich. However, the wobbling lines in the video (for example 4:57) were irritating to me. I also think it's a nice idea to implement an exercise to learn the technique you taught

It is one of the techniques that might not be the best one, but quit popular and a basic thing that is good to know, even if u have more appropriate techniques to use for a given situation. Very good presentation of the technique, nice and short, straight to point.

My feedback? You're great, you're terrible, but you're great. Just kidding : ) I'd be hard pressed to give you any criticism, your video is highly informative and entertaining, your voice is clear and soothing and your animation is fluid is high quality. I was surprised when I looked at your views and subscribers and didn't find a K after the number! But keep at it, with this quality I believe you'll do great.

I did this at my 9-5 constantly. It does work well as long as you remain empathetic and kind like you mentioned. Recieving feedback can be tough and it's hard if it's delivered in a shit way because the person delivering it lacks emotional intelligence. Great video by the way, love the story-telling and example used. My feedback is, you've got something really unique here with your editing style and how you narrate. You're really easy to listen to, clearly very bright and articulate and touch on introspective and deep topics that resonate with people. I think the opportunity is that the rest of KZbin hasn't found you yet. So keep up the great work and keep sharing your ideas, the world will eventually be better off for it having heard them.

I use a similar method, but instead of focusing solely on cutting spending, I categorize my expenses into: Flexible Monthly Costs Fixed Monthly Costs It’s essentially the same as distinguishing between essential and non-essential expenses, but I take it a step further. For instance, some essential costs for me-like gas, tolls, and parking-fluctuate each month because my work involves a lot of travel. Great video, by the way!

This is so real. Ever since I can remember I never knew where I wanted to go. I just flew with the wind. And I still do... I'm afraid if making a mistake but on the other hand I don't even knwo what to do. There is nothing that I'm passionate enough for to give it my all and risk stability. Just taking each day one by one and see where it gets me. I watch videos like this to make me feel understood but I can't seem to take action Thank you tho, I subscribed

This was excellent. I'm 44, been in a people leader job for the last 8 years, 5 years now in the same title and I have quite a few moments here and there of imposter syndrome. It mostly surfaces when I have to do something very public that could result in me being put on the spot and not having an answer or potentially sounding stupid, or even leading/presenting on a large group call or speaking in front a room. It almost feels like my lack of stage presence will be super obvious and EVERYONE will see right through me and ask how I even got this job. It leads to feeling nervous and under-valued and incompetent. I do my best to avoid said public things when I can and instead rely on other strengths to add value at work. But it's completely normal and real. These tips are great, thank you for sharing. Also your writing, delivery and editing are all really good. These topics are salient and I can see more content like this getting a lot of traction and attracting a lot of viewers. Keep going man, this is really good stuff. Did you quit your 9-5 to YT full time?
@askhanus2 ай бұрын
Great example, and I totally agree. Even running a simple retrospective meeting in front of my team that I work with every single day was a nightmare in the first few months. I kind of had to keep running those because it was part of my job description, so I couldn’t avoid the spotlight even if I wanted to, though I think it helped a lot in terms of turning that fear into something to look forward to. Eventually, those meetings became the best part of the week both for me and my team, as we got to relax and step away from the usual grind. My 2 cents would be to pursue the pain instead of avoiding it, as it’s the only way to get better. And thanks a lot for your feedback, I’m happy you liked it! I did quit my job to start this channel, so I could put my entire focus on it for a year and see where that takes me.

Yo bro I'm 20 yo now and i've been thinking HARD about my life since 18. Tried couple of jobs and now decided to quit my last job i've been working 2 months cause i realised time is more valuable than money. Still don't know what i want in life and it's a pain to realise i have to just keep living and thinking cause what else i can do? I decided to do base exercises everyday, use my body and push it fo the limit. Also I'm thinking how i can learn something and what i can dive into. Life is a life. Nothing ends until i live
@askhanus2 ай бұрын
Hey man, thanks for sharing your journey. It’s great that you started thinking deeply about all this at such a young age, and you’ve already realized the value of your time. I also wanted to quit my job only 3 months in, but decided to focus more on the long term and kept going, which taught me a lot about myself. You don’t have to figure out everything right now, the key is to commit to something and give it enough time to see results. Even if it’s not your true calling, and probably it won’t be, you’ll grow and learn about what you like and what you’re good at along the way. Try focusing on one path and see where that takes you. The dots only connect when you’re looking back.
