From one standpoint, this team feels fine considering 3B & the pen are a bit more shored up now. However, from another standpoint, it seems like they need another middle of the lineup bat, a couple upgrades in terms of their contact hitters, & a true shutdown closer. Time to open up the pocketbook, Tom!

Nico is one of 2 guys that play hard (PCA). And he’s a plus defender and a table setter on offense as he leads the team in hits. The issue is the bullpen. Fix that and add another top end starter and the team will be fine. Bunt to move runners more and put the bat on the ball when they are on 3rd with one out to get them in. Other than that, no changes needed.

As long as Shaw starts opening day, I don’t care what we do.
