Hello I have a peugeot 208 1.2 110 turbo. Can you show me where I can find the MAF sensor and throtle. Thanx

@@LordJM1989 the 208 thp engine doesn't use a maf sensor, it has a map sensor instead, located on the inlet manifold. The throttle body is down behind the engine on the end of the inlet manifold. It is difficult to access and you need tor remove the inlet pipe and airbox.

This might sound a daft question but since this part went on a ds3 after replacing clutch and found this gearbox mount was damaged the engine management light has appeared and says on diagnostic accelerator low throttle issue however checked the the throttle body and pedal throttle sensor both read ok could it be that due to this mount being broke and causing a massive jerk to the gearbox that it’s throwing the engine management light on ?

Not sure tbh. Sounds plausible, if one of the sensor or cable connections is a bit loose and or dirty as well. Check all connections, clean out connectors with contact cleaner. Also it's pretty easy and cheap to replace to test if that's causing it

I’ve literally had this issue and spent £14 on a new fan relay on Amazon replaced it in 5 minutes and it’s fixed!!! Car repair light came on before and now it’s gone!!!!

If there is any side to side wobble between the wheel and axle then it will be the bearings.

Got something very similar on mine. Not quite as much play but the noise is identical when doing this on mine. My theory is inner joint is on its way out, did you fix this and work out what was at fault?

I'm inclined to think it's not the engine mount. That wouldn't make a constant high pitched sound. If it's not the gearbox oil, then the next thing I'd do is look at whether in moving the engine you caused something to bend or be pushed or caught against something. Like possibly the fan? However if it's definitely coming from the gearbox area about the only thing I can think of is either the mineral oil, or something has happened to the clutch or runout bearing or something. I'd also check the gear linkages and make sure none of those are bent or distorted.

@@techbio I know the clutch isn’t great it appears not to slip just sometimes pulling of a little judder as it’s done 104k and does need changing, i noise has seems to of only just come on wasn’t there at first

can you install this mount wrong? i have a 308 mk2 simular rear engine mount. well i had to loosen the exhaust from the flexi and take the engine mount bolt out so i could bring the engine down enough to get to the gearbox oil sump bolt that i couldnt get to due to my subframe. after i did my gearbox oil change i pushed the gearbox up untill i could get the engine mount bolt back in and then i tightened it, then i connected the flexi exhaust clamp. i think am getting maybe abit of vibration and also i am getting a weird noise its like a little high pitch whine like a brake pad is sticking type of noise at 3k rpm when i rev at idle and at around 2k when i am driving, the noise only there for a few seconds around that rpm when i slowly accerlerate and also the noise is there as it decreases from that rpm for that few seconds. if i out my foot down i dont hear it. do you think this could be related to the engine sitting incorrectly on the mount or even overtightning of the mount bolt ect. thank you

Doesn't sound like the mount, it might make a squeaking sound, but it would be on and off not be a whine. That said if it is overtightened it may squeak. I tightened mine to specified torque. Mine did squeak a little for the first couple kms but it went away. Also, depending on how much you had to move the motor, make sure you haven't ripped either of the othe two mounts, and that nothing on the motor is rubbing up against something it shouldn't.

@@techbiowell I just pushed the engine up until I could get the bolt in then tightened it by hand and then I did the exhaust clamp. Do you think what would be sitting correctly? Well it’s like a high pitch sound similar to something rubbing and always around that rpm. I think this morning when engine was cold it didn’t do it for the first few streets and then it started. Only other thing is the gearbox oil. I changed that with what Halfords and some other stores recommended which was 75w80 oil but I noticed it’s mineral after putting it in. I rang Peugeot and they said they use total 75w fully synthetic oil. So I don’t no if this is why it has the wrong oil is there that much difference I really don’t no

@@Antsummerfield83 you are really going to need to swap out the oil. You need synthetic, mineral won't last. Whether it would cause a sound I don't know, it might.

@@Antsummerfield83 is it a constant high pitched sound at that rpm? If so it's not the mount. The mount might make a repetive squeaking sound as the engine rocks, it won't make a whine.

@@techbio yes I’m definitely going to change it, I’m trying to figure out what could be the cause if this noise and so far there’s the oil that could be the cause, maybe not the engine mount, apart from that I did back brake pads which the car didn’t like after I did them as I took electric brakes motors of and then winded the pistons back and fitted it all and then the car through a wobbly with errors for brake and abs because it noticed there wasn’t much travel pushing the piston as it was before, I cleared the faults and brakes work fine, I just feel maybe thats a possibility it’s just the noise is close the gearbox / back of the engine

It mean's you are due for a service. In some cases it can mean your oil or other lubricants are low.

I've had this same fault before on another 1.2 and changed the fan resistor module which solved it. However on this car, the cooling fan is still not coming on. I've put direct power on to the fan which comes on. I've checked the loom connector and there's power there. The engine light has gone off, when I rescan the fault is still on ecu but won't clear. Coolant light came on so I stopped & the tank had coolant. When I opened it, it was like a jacuzzi 🤯. Any tips & help would be appreciated thanks.

Bit of worry as if there is gas bubbling through the coolant it would indicate a head gasket leak. That could potentially trigger that code too, maybe others.

Modern vehicles like this don't usually have flasher relays, it's all computer controlled. The tick sound the indicators make actually comes from your sound system or dedicated speaker, not from a relay under the dash.

couple issues were the ground was slippery with dead foliage (and the tyres are fairly worn) and I was still getting used to the machine - if you watch again you will see I backed off, increased the throttle, and then got the stump on the second go. But yes generally I was surprised that it didn't just push into the gravel pile for example. Even with full throttle. You could get a full bucket but not in one push. Part of it is also my inexperience. Through the day I got better at it.

you sometimes don't even notice until you set a camera up and realise how many bird sounds there are. It's tranquil. Though to the birds it might be an urgent babble of "where's the food? Is that food? There's food over there. Oh there's also a big hairy human, get the hell out of here. Oh he's gone come back again. Hurry up before the bigger birds see what's going on."

Thank you! Growing so slowly, I think the topsoil is to shallow and the water table too deep. But they aren't dying!
