This was the best break down I’ve seen so far!!! Yes noticed similar things! Alison definitely did the ritual switch when she laid the hammer down and Eve was in the wardrobe. That’s why she said sorry sorry sorry so many times.. it also hinted she got her life back from that when the DOC showed her father’s obituary and she was the only child left. So she found peace it seems like. It seems like Eve will have to do a ritual switch to get her life back… most likely at the hospital.. which also is referenced time and time again.
@bookwildcollectiveКүн бұрын
Yes!! That obit really seals the theory that she performed the ritual switch! And I would loooove to see Eve getting out of the hospital. It’s definitely referenced so often

You covered so much! There are just so many patterns and references that seem connected. I liked the ending, but I would also love another book that explained some of the things he alluded to in this book.

There's just so much to cover!! I even remembered a few other things I didn't hit on. We definitely agree on the ending, I was good with it as a horror thriller but I also want to know more about this Old House Universe!

Picked up some interesting books to add to my TBR. As for Anthony Horowitz, his bio was written that way because he was a screenwriter before coming an author. He created MIDSOMER MURDERS (top fav BBC murder series and Midsomer, by itself, has an extremely high murder rate, 😮) as well as writing a bunch of Agatha Christie's Poirot series.

You knocked it out of the park and across the road. If someone I knew didn't like this film I would question their judgement. Every scene tells the story multiple ways and so much is inferred through action. This reminded me of some of creepy tone of late night TV dramas in the 70s. Could say a lot more. Bravo to everyone. Steve Wall is such a sinister presence. Made me laugh too, which I didn't expect, but it's witty. Witty, smart, elegant. Me and my son watch Cavaet previously, so we pointed at the screen when we saw the bunny (Didn't no you made it). I can see that you did not waste a single beat, and was trying to be as relentlessly entertaining as possible. Thank you for a great watch Damian.

The Plot and The Sequel were so good. Thoroughly enjoyed both! I haven’t read The Silent Patient either, but I found The Maidens to be a major letdown. I was enjoying it until the end. I thought my dark academia dreams were coming true, but no. 😆

So satisfying to see Stephen take a beating. That smug sociopath! Yes, ick to the bar scene with Bree and Oliver AND the wedding ring thing. Why?! But, the earrings were a move. Not a healthy move, but a move nonetheless. 😆 It’s kind of strange that she left them both. It would have been more difficult to explain away if there had only been one. It was so disappointing to see Lucy still hung up on Stephen in 2015.
@bookwildcollectiveАй бұрын
Ahhh I agree with all of this! He’s so smug. The bar scene was so ick. The earrings were totally a move but one would’ve been better! And yeah I wish Lucy was done with him but I guess that’s the whole gist of the show that they are toxically linked!

Hi, I hope you’re doing well. I’ve taken the time to watch all the videos on your channel, and I must say, your content is excellent. However, I’ve noticed that the SEO for your videos is quite low. This low SEO is likely hindering your video engagement. Improving your video SEO can boost your channel's rankings, leading to more views and subscribers.
