Lol sterns last 3 have put them on bankruptcy door. Venom and Wick flopped and aren't selling. Jaws was a travesty of engineering fails and low. Budget choices. Xmen may save them its good, but JJP is the king of risks and creativity. Always has been. Fun is here.

Cute opinion. I may not be in the majority, but I am actually open minded and like BOTH Stern and JJP - gasp! To make a comment pretending that JJP doesn't have REALLY good games like Pirates, Wonka, Elton John, and WoZ; is just showing your bias. There are FAR worse Sterns that have been created (e.g. Aerosmith , Led Zeppelin, Venom, etc) than those JJPs I listed above. Pinball companies sometimes hit and sometimes miss, JJP nor Stern are immune to that.

@clearstar8354 stern has made many cheap formulaic low cost tables last 5 years...that are a shame. Yes, I own a stern, and there are some great models. But JJP I think has overall a very high rating for risks, originality, and fun over stern.

​@@JackpotMike77 Ya! Agreed 100%! I play my JJPs more than my Sterns to be honest. I mean Stern is fine and all, but if we are being honest it's more likely for two Stern to feel the same vs two JJPs feeling the same.

I wish JJP all the best, there is no such thing as ill will towards them, not at all, but picking Avatar as a theme for pinball is not the greatest! And with stern releasing Xmen the Uncanny.. it's tough to beat especially with those high prices

This is for Avatar 2 and there is a huge demand I am sure. It is hard to duplicate the Avatar theme in simple toys. You need something like pinball machine! Exciting!

Your are spot on. I sell pop culture collectibles and games. There is ZERO demand for anything Avatar related.

There is literally an entire Disney section of a theme park based on Avatar, that is ALWAYS busy and sells a crazy amount of merch. I hear you that it's not "in your face" mainstream like Star Wars or Marvel, but it has an insane cult-like following and at the surface level the colors and theme is pretty cool. Even my daughter, who knows nothing really of Avatar, went to Disney and loved everything that looked like "cool alien insects and blue creatures with tails, etc.". She then comes home and wants to watch the movies. It's an eye catching & fun theme. There is no denying it's appeal.

I don't think this is a good theme not for 12k or 15k. I think its going to sell about in line with Elton John just ho hum. No one cares about Avatar no one is counting down the days until the next Avatar movie hits the theaters. You can't go in Walmart and find toys... no one cares. If the game is cool that will help but how many people are saying OH MY GOD I CANT BELIEVE ANOTHER AVATAR GAME? Ummmm ZERO! Jersey Jack is making some cool games Elton John might be one of the best of all time... but its Elton John. No one wanted an Elton John pinball over lets say Nirvana or Beastie Boys or a host of other bands. Furthermore Godfather will go down as the worst choice for a theme in pinball history plus the game is awful. Stern isn't doing any better so there is that... people want Goonies - Top Gun - Matrix - Blues Brothers and the list goes on not Avatar.

I felt the same way when I played it at TPF. Those call outs are like willy wonka sounding for a game that’s supposed to be about some dark stuff. Not a fan of the execution of the theme.
