I use the leatherman tool pouch. It small, holds everything you showed, has compartments and everything is enclosed. So everything is secure, organized and can’t fall out. $29.99 on there website. 👊🏽

First time hearth installer so kinda clueless. Is that cement board with pavers on top? What did you put behind the stove?
@mooreofthishomestead1199
@mooreofthishomestead1199 19 күн бұрын
@@MyLaura33 yes it is. It’s all on a cement slab so that helps. There was nothing behind the stove, it’s recommended to have a heat shield behind it. But I didn’t do that. Many use wall spacers with tin as the heat shield.

Isn't the concrete tiles a bit heavy? I liked it, but would look for a lighter alternative to the concrete tiles. What do you recommend?

It's funny, because where I was at there were no options to buy a hearth. But now that I've moved to Alaska they have a lot of options. I would have bought one of those Having said that, the tile that we bought takes heat really well and disperses it. I've heard from some folks who used rock under, that the surrounding floor would get too hot to walk on. This fireplace was over a concrete slab so it wasn't a big deal, but I had young kids so for them it was.

This kzbin.infoUgkxATHBlMJwipGgVWseuAFKvDQ_5R4_lywo unit was an easy install and turned out amazing. The dimensions were exact! I took a chance and built the wall prior to receiving the unit which arrived sooner than expected and it fit right in the space I constructed. The heat output is perfect for the space we needed and made the room exactly how we envisioned it to turn out. I am happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability. Thank you for the awesome product just in time for the holidays.

Very nice! I applied a similar thought process to camping EDC / survival using the same sheath kit (full playlist at kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIGwpplmhLiCeq8). Now you've got me wanting to put together another one for home use! I have a flashlight in the same exact spot but found it was falling off, so I attached it with a detachable and retractable tool holder, which may work for the tool you have that keeps falling off as well.

Yes, but no video sadly. I like the skinth but go Velcro if you get it. The sideclasps don't sinch far enough to allow for a variety of side loads. Even for the main pocket go Velcro. I went with button snaps and It often doesn't close tight enough. And the belt loop doesn't fit any of my belts so go with the stainless steel clip. Otherwise it's a great carry. But because of those issues I don't wear it much, I keep it in my bag instead. I plan on buying another one with the aforementioned changes but I haven't yet. We moved twice since I made that video and as you can see I've been focusing on this account instead of the homestead account of which I posted that video on. Skinth does a terrible job at showing off their products with the pictures they've given. But what they make is durable and will last A Long time.

If you put it in small side first, it leaves the large end to grab and it almost slides itself out... Also with the bit kit behind in the sleeve, once they're in you gotta let them sit where they want.. all the down is too tight and up and out is too tight. Put it all together then adjust them from the outside and you'll see where they want to be... Helps it close easier too

I grouted then sealed. I had a tile shower a while back, it since I needed to reseal that every so often to keep it from crumbling I decided to seal the grout with the tile. But again, I used tile, not English stone. Still, saying that It makes sense to seal the final product either way as it wouldn't hurt to seal fist for your own peace of mind. I wouldn't, just seal at the end.
