Born and bred South African here. Thank you for promoting our beautiful country! I do, however, want to caution against become too nonchalant as it pertains to safety and security. Know where to go and where not to go. Be alert at all times when out and about, especially when stopped at an intersection. Lock up at night and have private armed response. Get a dog. The lady mentions that she has not seen anybody chased or even police sirens. That's because often the police aren't bothered to do anything or do not even have working patrol vehicles. The gentlemen mentioned that the government does a real good job of taking care of citizens. Sadly, this could not be further from the real truth. They are directly responsible for the devastating conditions that the majority of South Africans find themselves living in. I know you're excited to be here, but for the sake of other naïve visitors, I felt compelled to type out this comment.
