Some aid can be more economically transformational if Donations develop supply chains with local or near local agriculltural enterprises rather than simple donating food stuffs but enter the local or near local economy the economic impact will cycle around 12 times as opposed to 1

Dear MD Eman, Throughout 2024, we are celebrating our 45th anniversary - reflecting on past successes and galvanizing towards our future goals. Join us to celebrate the impact Refugees International and its leaders have had since our founding in 1979 and our vision for rights and refuge for all into the future. Some highlights from our history include: 1979: Sue Morton witnesses thousands of Cambodian refugees forced back across the Thai border and resolves to found Refugees International. 1987: Refugees International receives the Volunteer Action Award from President Reagan for inspiring volunteerism in communities across the United States. 1993: Through numerous media interviews, Refugees International urges U.S. and NATO air support for the Srebrenica enclave and other so-called UN “safe-havens” and better security for UN relief convoys in Bosnia-Herzegovina. 2000: Refugee International’s reports from Ethiopia and Eritrea are the first to inform the world that 1.5 million displaced Eritreans are in desperate need of food and other aid. Our advocacy leads the UN to request $87 million in emergency aid and the U.S. to donate 50,000 more tons of food. 2009: The U.S. Congress provides five times more funding for humanitarian aid inside Burma compared to the previous year after Refugees International research and advocacy highlights the ability of international aid agencies to provide assistance transparently and independently inside the country. 2018: Refugees International experts returned to Bangladesh and Myanmar to expose the atrocities committed against the Rohingya people-and to champion the needs of survivors. 2023: Refugees International launches the first-ever cohort of its new refugee fellows program, bringing people with lived displaced experiences meaningfully into the policy debate. With decades of experience influencing the humanitarian landscape under our belt, we have set forth the following organizational priorities for the coming year as we work to address the evolving landscape of global displacement: Defending dignified refuge: With the right to seek asylum under historic threat, we will work to defend access to refuge and propose innovative solutions and pathways to safety for displaced people. Shifting power: Refugees and displaced people are their own strongest advocates and know best what their communities need. Yet they remain on the margins of the institutions that drive global humanitarian response and protection. Refugees International is committed to shifting power toward refugees, displaced, and local leaders in global humanitarian action. Effective crisis response: Refugees International has a long history of shining a spotlight on crises to hold the humanitarian system accountable and advocate for a more robust and rights-centered global response. We will also highlight systemic gaps that risk leaving people behind - particularly internally displaced people; people displaced by climate; and women and girls. Every day, wherever there are displaced people, our team is working tirelessly to advance their rights and protections. Support us in this effort by making a gift today toward our 45th Anniversary Fundraising Campaign. Myanmar should create an environment where Rohingya's can return to the country and live on their own land. On the other hand, international pressure is crucial for the repatriation of Rohingya's who have been forcibly displaced.

A developing country and despite thousands of limitations, the way Bangladesh has extended a helping hand to the Rohingya is unparalleled. The world should have given all possible help and cooperation to Bangladesh but this time it should be taken back to its own country

The way Bangladesh is carrying the burden of 11 lakh Rohingyas is rare in history. Rohingyas are able to get all kinds of benefits. Thus, it is not possible for Bangladesh to carry this burden for long.
