I just tried this method and it didn't work for me. In fact, I had to waste the whole Amala. I turned and turned and it didn't form into Amala at all then it even started having lumps. Then I tried the method I knew before which is to pour the yam flour straight into the pot or boiling water and that came out perfectly.

You definitely didn’t watch the video, yes I said it will have lumps and become smooth. Read the other comments. The lumps should not stop you from continuing to stir.
