They are watching you, listening to you while you are signed in on the app. Your rate of pay can be manipulated by uber employees and uber contractors in a variety of ways, employees who have decided they do not like you for some reason. Maybe because you are white, some ideology you believe in, or it could be simply because you are an American and these foreigners, who do the watching and listening, do not like Americans. A recent federal trade commission filing against Amazon verified something I have been seeing in Uber for at least 12 months. Most of what we "drivers" were tricked/fooled into believing were algorithms are nothing more than workers sitting at a computer in India! Workers who can manipulate our pay rates by lowering our rating in a variety of ways such as sending us trip requests that force us to reject and cancel trips that will cause us to lose our higher paying reserved trips!
