Only one of my squad gets out, not all. Yes, I grouped them and gave the group a tag. I issue the EMIT command at the correct waypoint. Vehicle stops, but just one guy exits. the vehicle continues forward with the remaining guys.

I'm trying to see how to add off map paratroopers to the reinforcement menu in gem editor for gates of hell.. or maybe just gem editor in general. Air vehicles in the gem engine are extremely buggy sometimes. I'd like to assume it could be something as simple as the terrain you're trying to deploy troops on aren't even. Perhaps try adjusting where the heli is landing. Also if it is taking enemy fire sometimes the AI will 'cancel' the waypoint/trigger unless you turn off their ability to 'react' to enemy fire.

Personally I don't believe so, at least if you mean with a hotkey of some sort. Otherwise you could simply hold shift or control + click multiple entities and then you'll have them selected

I'd say watch my helicopter drop video, but only focus on the flying portion, and instead of doing a waypoint intended for deploying soldiers use a waypoint and then use the "attack_waypoint" command and tell the A10 to fire at that waypoint. Let me know if you can figure it out based on what I said or not.

So this might sound a bit weird but it depends on if you are saving a map in 'F2' or 'F3' mode. So if you hit your F2 key AND THEN save a mission, you're actually only saving the map and any assets you may have placed. If you want to save the units on a map spawn them in after you hit F3 and then save the map while you're still in the F3 'mode'. Best practice is if you want to change the map, make sure you hit F2 and then start editing away, if you want to make/change/load a mission, hit F3 and only then start placing units and what not.

Of course, just use a waypoint and the teleport and rotate command and then the hidden tag will spawn where-ever you decide you want them to appear. The waypoint you use to spawn them will dictate where the units spawn regardless of where you placed them on the physical map with the hidden tag.

Is it possible to set things up so that the vehicle will follow a waypoint path at a click of a button? So for example, when in game I could arrange for the resupply truck to "Withdraw from the battlefield" by pressing spacebar and then the vehicle will automatically driver to a waypoint near the edge of the map and then delete itself?

Pretty much combine the first part of his button script and then combine it with my Emits video.

You'd have to use a random variable-type loop for that. I'd say watch this guy's video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqKbk4B9fsSqqpY Once he starts doing the script around 9 minutes in, don't follow it exactly but you'll have to follow the idea of the 'default' he is scripting and instead make your random chance numbers lead to different way points, say 1-4 (not connected) than the script will random pick a number 0.01 - 1 and then the random chance of that will spawn your unit(s) at one of the 4 waypoints.

Nvm! I used air attack to get the pelican to get to a forced unlinked waypoint and them added a deleted tag! Works great

For some reason it doesn't work after awhile of using it. The shaders still work however I am unable to access the menu and change what I want turned on or off Edit: I found out what happened and managed to fix it.

There's probably no use to asking this question since the videos over a year old but I'm having trouble with dismounting all personnel from the vehicle, the first vehicle in front of it gets shot at, and the vehicle behind dismounts only the passengers and then the driver of the vehicle stays in and drives up to the road to get blown up instead of himself dismounting with them

This is an issue I hadn't considered. In short it'll require turning 'off' the AI's ability to react to gunfire and then reenabling it when you want them to react to it. Certainly an oversight and I should have added that into the video.

You can always use multiple sets of waypoints, you could even have every individual soldiers (overkill) have a unique waypoint if you wanted. This was just a simplistic overview.

Yep, the trigger will go off if you give the AI a tag and then tell the trigger to look for that tag in a zone for example.

I used this exact method but when the helicopter got to the waypoint, the soldiers fell out instead of landing. How do you fix this?

You may have to add an additional delay to the soldiers so they wait until the helicopter lands to get out. If that's the case it'll be a case of guess and check for how long the delay should be.
