People are wearing heavy jackets, swimming in freezing water, eating fish, spending a good amount of time outside. The feeling I get is coldness. I'm not attracted to the place (other than the last scene, there's no footage of what the hotel looks like on the outside and not much on the inside too.) I get the idea that they don't offer anything else but fish. There's no feeling of warmth in otherwise a cold place. And I don't really get an idea of what's the good about that place. Nice footage. But poor story. And poor commercial. I would consider a different approach.

I was about to change my canon r6 but this lens only made stick to canon, I do love the image quality that canon offers, but I need a little more such raw internal and open gate I hope eventually canon will release a new cinema camera options

Agree that the choice of lens can be considered the most important, but it does matter what the body is. Do you need unlimited record time? Do you need mini-XLR audio inputs? Do you need internal ND filters? Do you need a cooling fan? Find the the camera that does exactly what you need it to do then go buy this bad ass lens.

My name is Paul Lacovara and I am looking for a DP to work with on a commercial on Kauai around the week of Jan. 22. I saw your stuff on IG and dig your work! First checking to see if you're available. Secondly, where are you located? Let me know! I messaged you on IG so you can respond there, if you want. Not sure how to communicate here on YT. Thanks! how sharp is it compared to say the rf 85mm f/1.2 being the sharpest ever? Any moire issues with increased sharpness?
@JoeyPalmroos10 ай бұрын
Tough to compare it with the 85mm but can say that it is super sharp n was positively surprised by the quality 🤘
@whiterock186510 ай бұрын
@@JoeyPalmroos Gotcha, I just figured the 85 was canon's sharpest lens ever so if it compared well then that was a great sign for a zoom.
@JaredHoyman10 ай бұрын
It definitely looks like an amazing lens. As much as I am tempted to sell my 24-70 2.8 RF for it, I'm reminded that when it comes to headshots & long video shots I'm stopping down to F4 and 5.6 to get more of the subject in the shot. One reason why I absolutely LOVE the canon 70-200 f4 rf. Super light and sharp for travel on the go. Shrinks down smaller than my 15-35 and 24-70 rf. I would probably spend the money on a second identical body or use my R7 for extra reach on the go so I don't have to swap lenses.
@JoeyPalmroos10 ай бұрын
If you have a chance to give it a go u should 😊🙌 good points dude! But promise you’d be positively surprised 😎🤌

The 24-70 2.8 in super 35 mode on the R5c will give you the 105mm range if you need it. I don’t think this lens is needed if you have the 24-70 and r5c combo
@JoeyPalmroos10 ай бұрын
105mm in 2.8 is always 105mm in 2.8 - different gloom with the 35 mode on, not bad but different, you can tell 😊

Nice one, but too heavy and too expensive. Stick with my 24-70. Wish canon would give access to the RF mount for 3rd party companies. I want that tamron 35-150 F2-F2.8. That's a beast and great buck for value. Hate what canon is doing these days, as a long period canon shooter😢
@iamdantephotography556510 ай бұрын
Hmmmm…. Have you held it? I own it as well and was shocked how light it truly is. Doesn’t feel like it’s suggested weight at all it balances great.
@domotionstudios10 ай бұрын
@@iamdantephotography5565 it's almost 3-400g more than the tamron 35-150. I could live with the weight, but it's just not worth the upgrade from the 24-70 in my case. A great lens for sure. As all RF glasses.
@JoeyPalmroos10 ай бұрын
Not heavy at all 🤌 had such a gd time filming with it! canon lens is a canon lens for a reason, you can see it in the quality 🙌 if you have a chance you should totally give it a go!
@iamdantephotography556510 ай бұрын
@@domotionstudios I feel you I think the Tamron would be more appealing if it was a constant f stop. I don't like variable. But, rumor has it Sigma is coming to the RF mount next year with 3 primes.

Nice video! Drones are very useful when one needs them but when I see photos and footage from my drone vs Canon I see how far the image quality has evolved from Canon. It’s just at another level. But when that bird angle is needed drones are damn good!
