Hey guys! Thx for the video, one question, were do you get those shelvings you use in fruting? they look very sturdy!

Wow that was very interesting! Only a couple days ago I had lions mane for lunch and it was delicious. Unfortunately, these mushrooms are too exotic to get, and the price of over 60€ per kg is just too much. Since I had another mushroom colony before I thought I would give it a try. This video gives me what I was looking for. Set up, temp, humidity, light and trouble shooting. Thank you!

Thanks for the video! Simple and easy to follow. I have some questions though: - What is the mushroom to liquid ratio? - What is the shelf life? - I know the recommended time for plant tincturing is 4-6 weeks, but I have a book on mushrooms medicines by mycologist and herbalist Dr Christopher Hobbs, and he writes that 10-14 days is sufficient for an alcohol extraction. I guess the longer the better, but what do you think about his statement?

Just Brilliant, I do realise how much work it is going to be my angels said be brave and patient. To find you on youtube is great and I am sure I will be visiting your website for more morsels of info. The construction of anything is second nature for me Brickwork & woodwork, electrics & electronics, welding & ducting, fan systems & clean access to lab, but the QR scanning of the bags, deliveries documented, spreadsheets ( Did learn Excel yrs ago ) is where I will need bodies. KISStupid, and also Proper preparation & planning prevents p*ss poor performance. Soooooo Glad I have found you two leg-ends, just have to leave the UK 1st. Yeah tonnes of work but Hey Ho doing nothing else that interesting, and have time I think...... Thanks for your Clip on starting a business, VERY GOOD ADVICE. xxx

Hi, might not get a reply since its been many years. I've recently tried this with brown oysters (winter variant) took 44 days to fully colonise, but have been trying to pin for 20 days without luck (at temp of 10C). I have other medium (bags) in the same conditions which have fruited and harvested. Growing in 100% coffee, what type of oyster did you have success with?

Could you make a video about PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for mushroom farming? I often see people wearing masks like at 0:35 in the video. When but also why is it good or recommended to use PPE at certain stages in cultivating mushrooms?
@PossessedCreepr4 күн бұрын
From what I know. The reason you wear masks is because of the bacteria you can spread through you breathing and if they let the mushrooms mature enough to spore, breathing in lots of spores isn’t good for you.

I really appreciate the way you support the claims you're making in the video by sharing the sources you base those claims on in the video. I guess one of you or all of you have a background in science, else you've atleast learned to understand science. I would have appreciated it a lot it you would have shared the links to the sources you used in the description of the video. Nevertheless this and most other videos on your channel are great and very informative.

Great Hobby for home ❤ I have mold sir in my Lions Mane Bag why i boil the Water then add it to Pellets 1000g Pellets 1400g Water. Hmm
@GroCycleTV29 күн бұрын
It's good to ask yourself where the mould may have got in, so look at every part of your process and handling. Are the bags sterile before you add the substrate it? How are you inoculating? Is your incubation and fruiting room clean? Contaminants are carried in somehow, so you need to look at every stage of your own process and almost carry out a careful, and truthful, risk assessment of these stages. You may identify something you may have missed previously... at what stage does the mould show? n a positive note, once you've identified at what stage the mould starts and how it gets in, you can counter this and make sure it never or rarely happens again! Hope this helps...!

once the grow bucket stops fruiting, could you scatter the spent mycelium in a new bucket of substrate to start a new bucket?
@GroCycleTV29 күн бұрын
You can, but each time you do this the mycelium becomes weaker, and will be slower to take hold and colonise... but yes, it is possible. Best thing to do is try it as an experiment, and if you're pleased with the results then try it again!

@@GroCycleTVthank you for the reply!! Im hoping to grow mushrooms for myself on the regular. Could catching their spores be doable? Do you need anything fancy to propagate them from spores?
