The tears are streaming down my face right now cause this song means a lot to me, hence, like a millions of us, I'm struggling with anxiety issues since my mid-twenties, I just want to say that you/we/I/us are not alone and never will. There's always a brighter side or a way to learn something out of the worst moment we have to deal with every given day. Please seek or ask for help during the rainny days, cause it worth's. LIFE WORTH IT. Shall we bless everyone single one of you!

How could you pound the album in the late 90's when it was released in 1999? thats like saying I partied all night, starting at 11:30pm So, you pounded it for a few months of 1 year?

The most depressing songs are the best ones. Human emotion in lyrical motion. Brilliant bliss. I just hope that we're all in a happier place, rather than not. Oo too all.

It's funny how this is a song that was never meant to be. I saw Matt Good during an acoustic tour and he talked about how the record company wanted/needed one more song for the album and Matt was like "screw that", but he complied and wrote this at first as a shot at the music industry and the record label. This is the result... Perfect matt Good...

I thought that was Anti Pop on Audio of Being? Running for Home to me seems the perfect end to the quasi concept album that is Beautiful Midnight so I'd be really surprised if this song was written on a whim.

It finally clicked in, the lyric "I'm sure, you're right" always stood out, anyone else think he's refrencing INXS there? I know it's only 4 words lol

This song was originally called Sunup on the First release of Beautiful Midnight in Canada. I was in one of my most manic episodes that lasted for a couple months when I bought this album and thank god for that because I was able to see that there are people that I can identify with that I'm not so alone

They beam things into your head the ghosts of your pleasure in contempt when we were liars things were seemless when we were wired the world was like a secret I close my eyes now and I scream I turn the light on and there's nothing left redeeming I saw your face before it changed the gun it makes you look nicer in a bad way so low for how high well it's too late tonight and i'm sure you're right so low for how high and after this there's just the circus and every morning your carnie heart stops working it gets tight in there sometimes looking for those defects talking like it's a reflex I close my mouth now and I scream I open the door and there's nothing left redeeming I saw your face before in rough you should wait around awhile cause your body is bound to turnup so low for how high well it's too late tonight and i'm sure you're right so low for how high so low for how high

I am so grateful for KZbin. Even though I am not far from Canada, being a Minnesotan, I never until tonight heard of Matthew Good and that has to be punishable by law somewhere, musically speaking ! lol ... But seriously, it is only because I was researching/cross-referencing artists who struggle with bipolar that I am introduced to this MASSIVE talent named Matthew Good and now, I am forever blessed. Not only by his music, but his persona. I watched some interviews as well. Thank you, Canada.

Not bold at all. The guy is a musical genius and leaves his heart and pain in every song. Lyrically the guy is just way ahead of his time and he's an amazing musician too.. Most music is hollow only has to be catchy. Matt makes the music he want's to make to convey his own opinions.. How many artists or bands can even say that??
