@@wilmahenry930 that’s right, Wilma. The video is from 1923 so there is no sound. I usually add music to those but it seemed fitting to leave it silent considering the topic.

Apart, die Kromhout bussen, met motor achterin, vlak voordat de Saurers kwamen die weer de motor voorin hadden en een grote deken of cover met ruitjespatroon over de motorkap binnen. En wat hobbelden die krengen als ik naar Kethel ging om te zwemmen in Groenoord. Als je achterin zat dan kon je met je kop tegen het plafond geslingerd worden.

Beautiful....all dressed in their Sunday best, for the day out. I remember old photos of my parents, before they were married, and had days out with a group of people....much better times then compared to now, I feel!

Mooi gedaan met deze kleuren, Dutch Table, dank! Het filmpje is waarschijnlijk van begin 1949, want de laatste ronde van het WK Dammen 1948 werd gespeeld op zaterdag 4 december. Piet Roozenburg werd uitgeroepen tot Nederlands Sportman van het Jaar 1948.

Very interesting snippet. Capablanca's being able to sit down and see the winning possible move immediately is simply fantastic (assuming it actually happened in the moment like the video implies). His analytical assessment of the grandmasters' respective abilities is quite amazing as well. Max Euwe's analysis is also very insightful, humble and realistic.
