Acid house was not invented by the Belgians or the Germans, but by an extraordinary traditional Indian musician 10 years ahead of all DJs. Just incredible. Well done Mr. Singh

I just love it when they play Laserbl’ast like this… that AC/DC groove temple… and those drums at the end… furious (and for my money, Reeder has always been the perfect, tightest fit for this incarnation of the band… awesome. When he plays any of the iAction songs- songs he didn’t play on the record. Boy, he adds a little something that’s mindblowing to each of them… as if he is saying, “They should rerecord this classic with me- cuz I do it better… WE do it better.” …love it)

Reeder, yup. In my head… when the split happened late ‘90s, there were like “two camps” …you dug it or didn’t when The Action is Go arrived. Things tightened up and changed from that looser “sloppier” psychedelic thing to Scott and Bob’s vision, and I am of the opinion that TAIGo is one the great American rock records ever, and has aged so well (so has King of the Road, really…). So in my head I always secretly wish that they would re-record TAIGo with Reeder, and better (i.e., crisper and cleaner) production… not that any of the playing is bad, Bjork is perfectly monstrous. I just know from the live versions that Reeder would not only kill the parts, but add his own spice to the record… and it would be so glorious. And maybe he one song they change on the remake… is the Laserbl’ast everyone knows live. 🤔 (Although… I adore the original midtempo 😂) Can you imagine? If they just remade the entire record… called it The Action is Now or something… with Reeder? 😵💫

@@WitchyWagonReal Agree mate. Scott Reeder is so tight and more technical and I enjoy all the albums with him. You can tell from Brant's subsequent output that he wanted to play something different and looser.
@WitchyWagonReal10 ай бұрын
@@robmosz Affirmative. But… while in the overall scheme of things, sometimes I wish FM chucked some ideas and pursued others more vigorously… in the end, I guess I am glad that not every following record was the same. Sometimes I hear a “potential” in ActionGo and KingR where there could be another record like that… a monster record, one more masterpiece. And on some songs they hit it, and some songs eh… none are bad, but a lot of the albums since have been a couple great songs, and some pedestrian ones, not quite “filler.” But not monster songs. Speaking of monster… I listen to Il Mostro Atomico fairly often… and same thing. Reeder is magnificent on that live, see it. amazing…😳

By tempering uppity disco beats with the complexity and contemplativeness of Indian Raagas, Chandrajit Singh essentially invented House music contemporaneously with DJs in Chicago/NY. What a magician!
