@@tigheklory no, PSU derrives it's voltages from an external transformer. Essentially it feeds in 4 ac voltages (I don't remember which). The transformer (also the iso for the monitor) is meant for 100V so it would be ideal make sure it gets 100V. I'm trying to basically figure out my options for mounting a step down transformer without adding any additional holes.

@@SNESCUBE64 Sorry I meant the combination of the transformer/PSU are no 120v input tabs on it? Most of the Transformers with Nintendo Power Supplies have the ability to take 120v in and output 100v to the switcher PSU.

@@SonikkuBrat I actually don't know, it came out of a storage unit it seems. It would be kinda cool if they cared, but I kinda doubt that they will. Regardless, it will be a fun restore.

My audio setup isn't ideal for donkey kong, for the bench I use a mikes arcade jamma adapter. The monitor is a 9" hantarex. Both get the job done and are perfectly acceptable for a test bench setup.

The previous owner converted it to big kong. The ROM data for the program ROMs originally matched what was in MAME for the orca set (he checked). I've since filming this converted it back to the original set.

This mod isn't compatible with the older 5 board stacks. They did the sound board differently. The 5 board stacks also had the ability to be populated with the speech circuit. Ultimately it doesn't have the header I utilize on the 4 board stacks, so I would have to figure something else out. Unfortunately I only have a 4 board stack, so I couldn't really properly design one even if I wanted to. The point of this mod is to add speech capability to the newer and more common TRS2 4 board stacks. It doesn't have the speech circuit on the sound board but has a header for what I can only guess was an unreleased or unfinished speech module. Even so, my mod isn't QUITE plug and play, you have to add the header connector because it didn't come populated from the factory. Other than soldering the header, from there it's just a ROM swap and plugging in my board.

One additional thing I am doing is recording an alternate speech set with slightly different lines. I had the option to do it so why not. I'll do a video on everything when I finish. I am trying to get everything done within the next month or so.

It's a pretty fun game, I love mine to death. If you keep looking I'm sure you will find one, the hard part will be just getting it to work.

@SNESCUBE64 yes that's what I've been told, however the monitor is solid, I know not everyone like it, but the few people I know that own one, have had zero monitor problems, just board and speech issues.. I'm still looking, and will continue to seek one out lol

That's an interesting conversion. Wizard of Wor is cool game with a cool cabinet, but man is astrocade hardware hard to maintain. Nice that it is Bubble Bobble though, excellent game.

@@SNESCUBE64 I’ve since removed the BB from the WOW cab. I ended up getting all the parts to restore the WOW but I sold it before I made the attempt. I put the Bubble Bobble kit in a Moppet cab. It’s much cooler now.

Luck and patience is the big factor. All of my cabinets have been local pickups found either through facebook marketplace, forums like KLOV, or from friends I made along the way. It also just depends on location, the area I live in is very competitive, handful of collectors locally that are looking as well so that's where the luck comes into play.

Yeah I do actually, I just have Bubble Memories in it right now because I can't support an extra cabinet right now

@@bubexpress5435 Probably the first Bubble Bobble is my favorite. My current go to is Gorf because it is quick and easy though.
