Hey mate I chase Murray cod with heavier flies in small, tight water. When the fly is in the water and I’ve finished my retrieve and ready to roll cast again, I struggle to get the roll cast going as there’s a lot of extra weight and drag with the heavier line and heavy fly. Any suggestions? Thanks
@leighdowell54814 жыл бұрын
Stuss80 hi mate, it’s a tuff role cast because of the large mass (fly) at the point. Take a look at your set up. Can you add mass to your line to help lift the fly. Your technique will also help don’t try to make a tight loop roll cast make a wider lifting loop cast it may also take a couple of roll cast to get the heavy fly up. Let me know if this helps and how you get on. Cod are a cool target species.

First come across Buckwong Creek in the early 2000's , brought back some memories of that area, have traveled over 20 times through the Vic High country, you have the best play ground.
