Problem is we are a car centric society that requires one for most jobs because public transportation is a joke in the US. I drive all my cars till they no longer can be repaired for what they are worth. So consider that, getting a cheap car you own for a decade is a better asset than potentially wreaking a lease car and paying a huge bill that the emergency fund doesn't cover.

Credit score is a scam, if you have to barrow to purchase something, who owns that Item and you? If you have to borrow to purchase, you can't afford it.
@MRMONGY-ld1if9 күн бұрын
But you pay taxes insurance and maintenance for the rest of your life. First 5 years you ain’t building shit for equity either you could have put your down payment in sandp 500 and all these other stupid expenses and practically buy a house cash while utilizing a landlord you can also build the only real equity that is valuable and that’s business equity.

Terrible advice for a broad audience. This has ruined entire generations in the US. Only country in the world that’ll allow children credit. Criminal.

The number of people that are on the other side of this and it has RUINED their credit, is staggering. Parents, I’m one of you. Just save the money for them. Don’t add them to a credit card.

@clintfoster2327 күн бұрын
No... it has almost nothing to do with the interest from your bank account. The idea is that you utilize credit cards with rewards such as cash back, travel points, etc. and reap the benefits of those rewards without the downside of paying interest by carrying balances on the cards.

Interest bearing ? Even Sofi at 5% Apr is drastically under inflation, the number that the FED released is a lie, think about why a bank would give you good Apr if it wasn’t still making a bunch of money off you and continuing to use the power of fractional reserve banking to its upmost ability…..

Everyone has to start somewhere. Something is better than nothing and if it continues to compound it will continue to grow faster. Not to mention if you find a card that works with your life style to give you free stuff for money you'd be spending anyway.
