Are the ads child appropriate?
@CalmintheChaosHomeschool21 сағат бұрын
I will say… maybe? I don’t remember seeing anything inappropriate, but, when my child was posting some of the games attached to typing.com, they were taken to inappropriate places… so, personally I recommend paying for ad free (it was only a few dollars a month). I was not aware of that app when I made this video.

One is from Amazon and the other is from Rainbow Resource.

I’m figuring stuff out and we have this online tool!!! I don’t worry about finishing it in a yr most of the time!!! Those d’Aulaire books are amazing! My library (which consists of 30 branches) had a few that were non-circulating, meaning I couldn’t check them out. If I wanted to read them, I had to go to the downtown branch & read inside. I bit the bullet & bought Pocahontas & George Washington. I wish I could’ve bought them all, they’re beautiful & well written. I didn’t BFB, I did a history picture book study I found on teachers pay teachers. It incorporated a lot of these similar books, some KZbin videos, notebooking & reviews.

I have heard that. Unfortunately, I feel the cost is pretty average for a online math program at the high school level and if it works for a child who really struggles, it would be money well spent. But I get the hesitation. Finances is a struggle for us right now as well.

I use Numbers on the computer. My oldest just finished 9th grade. I did a rough list of what she would be doing all 4 years. I did the same thing for my other daughter who is starting 7th grade. I use that information once finalized to put in another form I created which adds it to my older daughter's transcript that I created.
@CalmintheChaosHomeschool11 күн бұрын
I don’t think I have ever used numbers, but I think it’s a spreadsheet system too? It’s nice to get all the thoughts and ideas out onto “paper”. I have two very similar things. I have my kids listed each grade and what I think they will take for a lot of the years. Then I do have a page with all the high school credits/courses thought out, but I want to update that a bit.

@CalmintheChaosHomeschool12 күн бұрын
I have one child who I suspect dysgraphia. I would have to think about strategies as I generally just keep each child’s abilities and tolerance for different subjects/curriculum in mind, and try to pick things that will work for us. But that’s a great video idea. I’ll think about whether or not I feel “qualified” to give any advice in that area. I know we also struggle with low working memory, ADHD, and just some cognitive difficulties when it comes to learning new concepts.
