Thank you Steph :) For me, the hardest part is speaking in videos; when I watch them back, I don't like how I look :D It's so interesting, because in the summer I play music as a DJ in front of thousands of people, and I'm not nervous at all.

Hi Stephanie! Thank you so much for this video. Very helpful. I was thinking the same about the non-sexy industries.. I am a follow my own path type of person so figured to explore those industries that aren’t popular.. so thanks for tip! I’ve been researching for a year now and finally ready to pull the trigger on a bootcamp. Any thoughts on a great bootcamp? I’ve been strongly considering designlab or springboard.

I think that is more convenient for companies/agencies to work remotely without having to pay expensive rents just to have office space. Maybe it’s just enough to have one or two days a week a real meeting in a rented space. By the way your videos are informative and useful thanks for sharing.

Hi! New to the channel and appreciate the insight. Is it possible to start ux design with an iPad Pro to test whether or not this is something you want to pursue? Or is a laptop/pc definitely required?
@hellostephaniem14 күн бұрын
Great question! While an iPad Pro is great for sketching and wireframing, a laptop is better for UX design overall. Most professional tools, like Figma have more features on a laptop, and it’s essential for managing files and collaborating with teams.

Wow, I can relate SO MUCH to your interior design background. I went from graphic design(BA) to interior architecture(Master), thinking I was following my dream but only to find out how toxic the architecture industry is and how underappreciated knowledge and professional architects and designers are in the field of the built world. I never thought in the middle of my interior design job, I was going to be measuring toilet fixtures in my client's megamillion-dollar home construction site while drafting CAD, rendering SketchUp, calculating costs, preparing a full set for a building permit, picking tiles and wallpaper, and negotiating shipping costs for a custom-made door from china all within my $25 part-time job. I am debating between Springboard UX bootcamp and Designlab. Thanks for your video! I am so ready for a change.

Hello, how will the UI & UX designer profession be in the future and what is the impact of artificial intelligence?
@hellostephaniemАй бұрын
UI/UX design is here to stay, but it’s definitely evolving. AI is making a big impact by handling repetitive tasks like creating design variations or analyzing data. This frees up designers to focus on the more creative and strategic stuff. The key is to see AI as a tool to boost your skills, not replace them

I've had Springboard in my "to review" list for a spell. But I've been trying to find a role that allows me to do use my design and workflow experience,. I was told by a programming bud that I may want to consider UX Design, though I like elements of both UX and UI, I just do not want to be talking or presenting too much.

I'd say go for it! UX design is all about visual design, mapping out user workflows and improving their experience. There is a good amount of talking and presenting your ideas though
