When I played rock band I hated this song with a passion. Now in my 30's, it's literally life I swear.

This is my Chico State Anthem. It reminds me of the day the Mother Hips played in my backyard in 1992 in Chico. There were about 300 people crowded in my backyard with 5 kegs flowing and people were on the roof. The cops showed up after 3 songs and shut the party down. They didn't arrest me since we hid the kegs but they claimed we were overcharging for a backyard party by asking for $3.00 I denied any claim of charging for admission. They said someone told them it was a $3.00 entrance. So, the cops escorted me to their police car. I was nervous as F**K! They proceeded to hand me a flyer from their trunk. I looked down and it said, "The Proper way to Host a Party." We had that flyer on the frig for a while! The lesson, The Mother Hips outgrew backyard parties by 1992!! It's been years Tim! No joke, I have been searching for this band for 22 years and thought not long after 2001-ish. I saw them back in 2001 on tour here in Winnipeg at our now non-existent Le Rendevuz venue. Their original name was 'Slurpee Mondae' so that's what I had been searching for. This honestly made my day. I even remember the other opener was Breach Of Trust. Was a STELLAR show! Thanks for the walk down memory lane!

Not gunna lie I used to hella dislike this song back in the day when I was a kid playing rock band but looking back now and listening to this at 23 years old it truly hits in the feels and makes me tear up.. so many memories just flown by.. I miss those days so much.. ;’(

Yeah, I played Rock Band a lot. and here I am. I'm making a playlist on YT of karaoke songs (Yeah, I played guitar and vocals... so much fun, niggas) that i like the most, from the RB and Guitar Hero (and also Lips), and this song is one of them. It is a perfect jam. I mean... I freaking love it. Great song.
