For those who are ignorant enough about this. Would you be cheering if the subject were the World Trade Center attacks? Or the Bataclan in Paris? Or the train attack in Madrid? This movie is an insult to all the mothers that tirelessly search for their son’s remains in shallow graves. But how could that person know. He is a man. He doesn’t know a mother’s heart. This movie is and insulting mockery of a suffering country. All because of the never ending substance abuse in the States. Shame in you, for glorifying violence and dancing on many Mexican people graves.

I am 69 and I have seen several of Vanessa's movies , she was kind of a teacher for me, she acted in different Historical times, I enjoyed her acting and "the History classes" ..... I was in the movie theater with my mother, who loved cinema too, most of the times during Brasil's dictatorship years, we went to the twin - towns of Rivera - Uruguay and Livramento - Brasil to see the banned / censored films .... , teacher camila, form Southern Brasil.

So inspiring!

Her performance was forgettable at best. The whole movie/musical, whatever it was, was terrible. The director was more focused on spreading an agenda and a caricaturesque portrayal of mexico than an actual thoughtful and insightful piece. From the casting to the story, it all lacks empathy and knowledge on the subject matter. Sad to seem this crap being hailed as a great film. FYI most Spanish speakers are really hating this film.
