I don't think you and Japan are a good match for the moment. I can tell from the genkan experience. Either you appreciate why people do it, or you don't; and that's down to deep psychological leaning. Also, you like space. And looking at your tiny room, and the shared common area, I think you are going to have a depressing time in Japan. xD Sorry, I don't mean to jinx you. But I would never pick a place like that, knowing my personality is similar to yours, preferring space, orderliness, and privacy. I think Japan is not all like this apartment., but living like this will probably make you think this feels like Japan. There is another more comfortable side to Japan. I don't know your financial situation; perhaps you could only afford this for the moment, and that's alright. But in short, I think maybe one day you will tire of the pressure in the West and have the chance to look back upon Japan and find it more comforting to your soul. But that one day is probably not today and will likely be many years down the line.

Knowledge feeds the soul. Go to a junior college and finish at a four year school. It is a sin your parents did not teach you during the school year at home or send you to school. I despise them for putting your challenged mother before ten other people. How many more years can your parents continue to remodel, collect junk, and uproot the family? And now you are active in LDS church. What is wrong with you? At the very least get educated or is the church afraid you will become a free thinker?

Yeah creativity sure is dead, since not many things are as creative as they used to be which cartoons and tv shows and movies are not as creative as they used to been. Since they are just reboots while even the modern cartoons don't have as such creative art styles that I remember the times which 2000s cartoons when there would exist Cartoons that would have art styles making them look like they are anime's but they weren't made by Japanese people which I do find that to be so creative with 2000s cartoons. But now modern cartoons don't have that amazing art styles like the 2000s cartoons did and of course music also doesn't have any creativity in them either since modern music Now is just samples of songs that already exist though instead of making their own and original and even video games nowadays ain't as creative has they used to been too. But even on the internet creativity is even dead! which I remember the times in the 2000s from being on internet before when people would make something really creative and Share it on to the internet aka sites like youtube and newgrounds but now those days don't exist anymore since copyright itself is just killing creativity which I know this video art from. That is called amv's that are dying due to copyright while I also know the other reason it's dying since amv's now are just anime clips with a song slap on to it with zero editing and Creativity in them while the good ones made by the people that give them such love and creativity don't get any views on them which I do feel sad for those people that work hard on them. Just to get hard any views on them but now they have to worry that their amv doesn't get removed by copyright and I also never like how copyright even has affected newgrounds! The internet site that I remember using when I was a kid when I remember when it was an internet platform where people would make flash movies and flash games or art or audios. And share it on to newgrounds that I have watch so many flash movies on newgrounds when I remember it known for being pico school and madness combat and even the times I have seen megaman flash movies and naruto flash movies and stuff while same goes with stop motion animation flash movies but I find it so sad that many of those flash movies. And flash games got removed because of copyright since I just know in fact many of them got removed since they used copyrighted music which it really sucks for those people that Make those flash movies that they upload them on to newgrounds even without being aware of it since they don't even use newgrounds no more but damn it is sad to see how dead Creativity sure is..

Good for you Elijah. Early 20s is THE time to move out in my opinion. In the UK there's a trend for grown up kids to hang around until they're late 20s even early 30s with the excuse being they can't afford to move out but let me tell you no-one can ever really afford it - we nearly all have to scrimp and save when we're young - it does no-one any harm! I hope your new career takes off and look forward to following your progress.

For anyone moving abroad. Vacuum bags are AMAZING. We MOVED moved and the amount of clothing we were able to bring is insane (it’s very hard to buy clothes here in our size so we did overpack lol) I’m minimizing now but if you’re wanting to compress even more. Use vacuum bags or roll up bags (that use body weight to release air)

It'll give you a glimpse into how we got to where we are today in terms of our most deeply-rooted beliefs (which are taken for granted oftentimes), such as cause and effect, being as being, etc.
