That was impressive. Didn't know the guy was also smart besides being an outstanding cellist.

@CamiloGi4 күн бұрын
@trabouliste10374 күн бұрын

What a thrilling performance. Every note given its due. The gorgeous balance allowing the strings, and especially the magnificent cellist to shine, and the musicality of the pianist to play this chamber music with such attention to her colleagues. Chapeau bas! On a personal note I have loved this piece since first hearing it 58 years ago. Our star conservatory students were coached by violinist William Kroll (Banjo and fiddle a popular encore for violinists.) He insisted, almost reverentially that no cuts were allowed. The finale here, exemplifies that ideal. Not one note is extraneous. Each repetition is played with total commitment. Perhaps the three soloists, on occasion, might reflect that to play what you love, with youth and passion for the genius of Tschaikovsky on your side, is the greatest gift of all. Just magnificent. Kudos to MittwochsKonzert and the Kronberg Academy.

A privilege, coming across this. Especially since I've heard of this academy in connection with Sir András Schiff.

I really enjoy Photography as well, and I also find drawing to be very relaxing. I make a living composing / producing music, but I always had a nice camera with me, and I bought some blank art paper and pencil/charcoal set during the Covid lockdowns. I also taught myself to play bass and keyboards in the last few years (my degree is in percussion performance so I had many lessons on drums/mallets/timpani etc, but I'm self taught on other instruments ;) I think us creative people just need an outlet to express ourselves, and figuring out how to get paid is often secondary ;} I enjoyed your album "Venice" very much. Thanks for creating it. I'd like to see some of your photography!
