That's fantastic, thank you very much for understanding the process. A favor, could you help me know what paper you are using? Greetings from Mexico.

There's a pencil or some kind of tool that looks like something similar to a pencil that you use along with the oil stick to blend the colours...what is it?

This is helpful to see how you leave the mid-tone of the image to be represented by the paper. Very effective!

Hello Zimou. What kind and tone of paper are you using in this work. I think you have explained this in your video "How to use charcoal to draw", right? The result is very beautiful. Thanks for sharing

Hi. I am a very long-term beginner. I was wondering why you insist we draw in all the 'invisible' ellipses - given they will be erased at a later stage? What purpose does this serve? I really missed not being able to see how you measured in this video, especially the tiny ones; we saw how you took the height of the entire object only. I think you must have taken your measurements off-screen for the others. Learning to take and transfer accurate measurements is my number one weakenss. Thank you for sharing your expertise. I really enjoy your calm, clear explanations and find them invaluable.

For Charcoal almost all paper stumps will work the same. However, on Graphite drawing I'd suggest to choose a good quality brand with the best I've tried so far, being the Conte A Paris paper stumps (go with the big one, because they only make small sizes) Also, you have to prepare the paper stump, by turning the tip on a piece of low grit sandpaper (around 300grith to 400grit will be fine) Do the same, when it gets very dirty and you need a clean tip, for example when you want to avoid adding more graphite on your drawings. If you leave it dirty, you can also use it as a drawing tool!! I'm sure, there are more to discover about paper stumps and the best way for that to happen , is by using them! Mistakes, are the only way to get better! So, keep drawing and enjoy!!!
