Speaking as an Englishman, I would be delighted to see us out of NI. Our past in Ireland is disgraceful, and almost nobody in England gives two hoots about the Loyalists. Nobody is THAT patriotic here. It's all so contrived. It's one of the remnants of empire that needs closing down once and for all. How we will deal with the inevitable campaign by the UVF is another matter.
