Nice work. I think I'll give it a try, but after I do the eight flats, I will then mount it in a lathe and turn the ends round. Maybe for a tool handle. Thanks

I saw your video and I went to Bunnings website and priced 4 tubes of silicone. Using the cheapest prices it worked out to about $30 to $40 dollars. I could buy a ready made mold for not a lot more. So except for the fun of making the mold itself it is not worth all the hassle of making your own. That said the kids would love playing with the silicone. So there is that. Have a great day and Thanks.

I hope to be able to share culture between Australia, your country of origin and the United Kingdom if it is not a problem, greetings Toby

I assume you poured the silicone into the mould area rather than doing a push mould.
@nigeldonaldson16476 ай бұрын
It's ALLWAYS the the mould face closest to what is being cast, that is the LAST area to cure/set. it's easy to think that because most of the mould has set, the whole thing has, BUT often it hasnt, as ive often found myself. uneven curing can depend on what the mould material is.

I dont know much about this line of things but couldn't you just take the hard mold in the chamber and just chip it out and use the particles in blank molds and potentially sell and reduce the loss by possibly quite a bit???
