This is just one step of a proper diagnosis. Sure, the TCM could be detecting a stuck clutch with the problem being electric signals however I've done PLENTY of these where the clutch is actually stuck. Whether from an incredible build up of clutch dust or more commonly a broken throw out bearing. Both problems cause a stuck clutch, or one that the computer can't not control

I have been experimenting with the deconstruction of these units and take this as just a suggestion but I have found that cutting off the top of the interconnect pins with some surface cutting side cutters so the cut is at right angles to the pin expansion area reduces the friction on the through holes allowing the top board to be removed with little force. The board can be reinstalled and the pin connections resoldered as they are still slightly protruding from the board. I am looking at the option to either replace the pins with straight ones or compress the pin expansion so the pins could be desoldered if need be. If you resolder the pins with a press fit you will never be able to unsolder them. Personally I cant see the point of only resoldering one end of the pins so I am investigating how to get the bottom board off as it is glued to the case, at this point I dont have a solution. FYI my problem is with a Renault Clio IV which has the exact same TCM but obviously different software so I am using this Ford unit to understand how I might have a go at fixing my Renault unit as its intermittent.

Hi . great video. I've got a very low pressure on mine . the pressure rail sensor is only reading 140 kpa on cranking. it got water in the fuel . the common rail is not receiving any additional pressure from the HPP . I've changed fuel filter and sensor ? thoughts?

My SZ diesel was jumping around and then went into limp mode.. lots of smoke out the tail pipe.. when I scan the car I’m getting a code for control module communication bus A off. I’ve looked at the speedo cluster and checked the connections.. it’s like the car is running on less cylinders and bouncing around.. I did clean the MAP sensor not long ago.. I also replaced the passenger side egr before the symptoms started. And also cleaned the drivers side egr as it was still functioning.. that’s the only code I’m getting so do you think it’s my PCM or can you think of anything else 😭

I’ve cleaned a bunch of sensors with mad cleaner and now I get a engine light, cruise unavailable. And the car doesn’t rev above 2500rpm and and has gone into limp mode. Any idea why this may of happened or what I can do to reset? I’ve got an obdII TOOL and have reset the codes but no luck, I’ve reset the battery no luck

Hello, I have codes P0733, P0735, P0868, P0944, P1790 and P083B. Some time ago i noticed when slowing down that it’s not shifting properly between 5th and 4th gear and especially between gear 3 and 2. It feels like it stays in higher gear and when shifting 3rd and 2nd gear there is a sound something similar when you drive manual transmition and car is in 3rd gear but you don’t give it gas pedal, like it’s chocking. Few days ago, car stopped reacting to gas pedal in driving. I turned the car off and on again I was able to drive in first two gears but as soon as it reaches 3rd RPMs are going, but it seems like there is no gas/acceleration. I changed the filter and the oil it works now, I am able to drive it but still have problem with downshifting from 3rd to 2nd gear, there is that sound again that reminds on not hitting the clutch while driving manual transmition. Please help.
