This is a great open n honest vid buddy, I completely agree that u work hard for your money n it is completely your choice wot u spend it on. Collecting itself is becoming more n more acceptable but ther is definitely still people who look dwn on it, personally I feel it is a much more sensible use of money than drinking it or taking other substances. If it brings you happiness then that is the main thing. I love the nostalgia from it, although I definitely feel my collection is almost complete for me, not complete as in a representation of every character out ther but enough for me to be content with it. Great vid as always mate, sorry I haven’t been commenting as much, been super busy lately 🤘😁🤘

The film was better than I thought it would be, I'll give it that, but I do have my issues with it. I'm not fond of what they did with the Primes; it takes what it tells us in the opening moments were the FIRST Cybertronians - basically DEMIGODS, who fought Unicron and WON - and sees them mugged in a cave by a bunch of Quintessons and one upstart traitor. NAH, not buying that, that's bullshit. It tells us practically nothing about any of them to make us give a damn about them. And why does Alpha Trion have a beast mode? That was Onyx Prime's thing; he was the Beastformer. This film would've made a bit more sense if they'd stuck to the lore of the Thirteen, and the loss of the T-Cogs would've mattered far more.

Dont worry..... yes it underperformed on release, and yes the holly press reported it flopping, but the positive reviews (and the almost unanimous criticism of its marketing and release date) means most of the press are spinning the story of a good film that was undermined by it's studio..... a good film that deserved better. With more than a few territories releasing this weekend, the film will hopefully hit 110m+ worldwide box office and while that is FAR from profitable territory, it's far from "disaster" status too. Even the studio knew an animated film would do better on streaming than at the cinema, and this is going to be very strong when it goes digital.

So glad you enjoyed it, I just really hope all this positive feedback gets back to all those involved in making it. The charge thing happened to me but the money got refunded shortly afterwards. The woman behind the counter at reception showed me her screen and I had only been charged once. Perhaps its the bank that holds the money?

I think to chat have the conversations we want to have with EVERYONE we'd like to... the convention would need to run for weeks. As for regrets... one that pops to mind I'd that I never picked up a tako tank... that's been amended this year.

Good thing the Transformers celebrities like Michael Charles Hill agreed with us fans that Optimus Prime refused Swofford and Morgan’s apology in Return of Optimus Prime. And Rebirth was the happiest ending in G1!

I am tempted to find a G1 Ravage for my Generations display as the Siege one is awful. I am happy with the other modern cassettes, but Ravage is a big miss. I hope they will find a way to update him again soon. Nice review mate. 👍

Good vid. I got burned out the first two days, mainly talking to new attendees (that Norwegian lady you mentioned gave me some nice chocolate from her homeland). By the way it's been nearly a week since the con, but I still keep looking behind me expecting someone to tickle my head - you have hell to pay sir!!!

i mean it sounds like the hotel is no different from usual, the staff always seem to be a tad shitty for some reason from what i remember out issues of the past.

The only problem I had with the hotel was Thursday morning, which was sorted before I left home. I check in on the Hilton app and get a digital key for my room, bypassing the reception. So, the keycard troubles didn’t affect me as it was all accessed by my phone.

Me and Tim got stung by the hotel, our dear dad payed for our hotel and when we got there they needed his card again, why do they charge twice also my complaints about the bar is they stop taking cash at a certain point, why I have the money let me buy a drink with cash, so me and Tim were stuck in the bar late at night with no drinks 😢

With what the Hilton now charge I do think we aren’t getting value for money, room prices are up, food and beverages are up and the audacity to charge an extortionate rate for parking, even with a convention deal through TFN parking was ridiculous, almost £45 for the weekend. They should include parking in the room price or have it free for those attending the entire event, I mean the6 had two events on over the weekend and just with TFN 1800 attendees round up to 2000 to include all staff and vendors @ £110 per night that £220,000 if everyone stayed one night, not like they aren’t making money from the event either as they charge TFN to be the host venue aswell

I'm glad I'm not the only one to have a terrible experience with tye keys and terrible staff at the Hilton. But TFN for me this year was fantastic! I managed to meet my childhood Optimus and picked up some great figures. Was also great chatting you in the early hours in the morning

I'm mostly all packed and ready to go. I'm travelling down by train on Friday morning and getting to Birmingham at about 11am, but I'll be visiting Dudley Zoo on the Friday so you won't see me at TFN until the Saturday.

I like the way you phrased this, acknowledging that kids of a different age (older or younger) would still have their own unique experiences, but that the rise of social media has forever changed things for the last generation or so. Genuinely jealous that your folks got you that older Atari. I had one home computer and it was dire…. I think that was why I drifted towards films. I would note that my generation had computer games on audio cassettes that took 30min to load, so I don’t begrudge todays software updates too much. As for TV…. Never had anything beyond terrestrial and remember channel 4 starting up…. And that wonderday time that TV went 24hrs and didn’t stop at midnight. I will be honest, I don’t think either of us would have survived the modern education system, being ground to dust to gain needless qualifications that don’t mean anything in the wider world. As for bullies…. Yeah…. We had similar experiences. Sadly, the 90’s were where I moved through higher education and into the working world, so I can assure you they weren’t super great to live through as an adult…… but I feel that same feeling of nostalgia for the 80’s and I do occasionally wish I could return to that time……. And of course buy every boxed toy I could and keep it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i can't wait for TFN this year it's been nearly 7 years since i was a first timer but all you guys made me feel welcome and comfortable. good to pass on our experience to current first timers.

From what I remember, you just have to pull up the head.... the guns in robot mode do stop just above his head as that is where they would stop in jeep mode.... I'm sure you just push the button again to allow the guns to continue to his shoulders
