The fact you learned this is insane. Even though this song doesn’t have a lot of variety in the scale, that riff pattern in this song in particular always sounded like one of the difficult things rhythmically and this goes the same with a lot of liturgy’s songs. Nice job

This is not a cover. This is the song played out of the speakers with an additional 'live' guitar.

not sure if you're active anymore, but i just want to point out how accurate you have it to trosper's tone & feel. ik the bass is kinda the spotlight for this song and repetition in general but you still found a way to pop out- nice!!!

This song always reminds me of the time I was 15 and my schizophrenic mother tried to kill me with a kitchen knife when my dad wasn’t home and she stabbed the bathroom door 15 times and I had 18 missed calls to my dad but he never answered. I ended up having to call 911 and the cops took her away

does anyone ever realize that the story is written in the perspective of Ed’s son who has schizophrenia? the part when he says “and you seem to look through me- to some old projector screen. playing back the scene as you described it on a movie reel. as real as the minute that it happened. that memory moving behind me. that moment that changed you for good” I feel like Ed’s actual son was the one who had offered him the help to fix his door without knowing that was his actual father. Being that Ed wanted his son to live a normal life and how much compassion he had for his son’s mental health it feels like a story between a father and his son. Ed’s son doesn’t remember the incident or the fact that Ed is his father- but he feels so strongly connected to the incident that it almost feels like a scene on a movie reel (his own memory)? I always theorized that Ed was the “Jordan’s” father in this song and he has NO idea. he sees this “old man” struggling with a door and decides to help him fix it and then being that Ed was so compassionate he finally remembered him during his episodes. IDK. i could be completely wrong but i always loved this song. it’s one of their best 😅

Yeah buddy that’s definitely better than Isaac Brock plays it. I’ve been watching that band since 1997 and I’ve seen them play that song probably 35 times live. Awesome job, dude.
