I really liked your perspective. I relate to it! My favorite thing is more time as a family. We don’t feel the need to do so much on the weekend because we are with each other during the week. Also, slow mornings. We were always stressed and rushing in the morning to get to school in time even when preparing the night before because we had to leave home so early. When I was pregnant that was rough. I also enjoy learning with them. It’s unlocking so many things I either forgot or just didn’t know.

We started homeschooling at the beginning of the school year in 2017 and I also didn’t kno the awesome benefits of homeschooling!!! I love the slower mornings!!! I’ve always lived in walking distance to school so 7am school bus sounds early to us!!! We love travelling with our work and our kids come with us!!! I travel plan as a job alongside working with sports comps so I plan the travel schedules for these comps!!! My older daughter has got the desire to write and has started at 13 and she has time for it!!! I love that my kids can be free thinkers!!! We love Easter school and we end the year after Easter school!!!

❤ love this! My 13 year old writes “fan fic” as a hobby. I have to pry the keyboard away at times lol… I’d be interested to know how you got started in that sort of travel planning?

I have always wanted to try heart of Dakota. It looks gentle enough for our family but also more rigorous than some others of looked into. I probably missed it in the video, but what is your plan for science for the 8th grade year… Thanks for sharing your picks. 😊

I am still debating on what to use. HOD uses PAC Integrated Physics & Chemistry for 9th grade. I am considering the PAC Natural Science Mysteries to help with the transition since we are skipping a guide. Most likely, we will use the science as written in HOD and figure out the rest when we get there.

I'd love to see a follow up in a few months to review how it's going. Did your student have a lot of composition practice before this program? My concern is that it may focus more on the literary analysis than the academic writing, but maybe that's not the case?
@OurInspiredHomeschool

I will be sure to do a follow-up. She hasn't had a ton of formal writing. My first impression is that it is pretty balanced. I am hoping this course helps to familiarize her with different writing formats and some classic books/authors. :)
